That is what makes the Pats a very good team.

You couldn't get 'Hernandez' but you got 'Gronkowski' right?

Forget being allowed to start threads, you should be castrated immediately so that we cut down on the number of babies running around with a head full of water on this planet. Internet message boards should be used to cull the herd.

no, I had 13th row seats for years during the Larry Bird years but stick to comments on SI or somewhere else for basketball. Too many games and I'm shooting gorgeous models in Key West and Fort Lauderdale around the playoffs
    3 out of 5 years.

I don't get this line of thinking. how to you judge talent? by results. the players are performing and the results indicate talent. just because people are surprised at how well they are playing doesn't mean they aren't talented.

Put green-ellis, woodhead, Welker and Branch on any other team and they aren't coming close to winning 14 games. They have the best oplayer in the sport guiding them, a guy who could win w/ anyone around him.

Just in case you really missed the point, which I don't think you did:

All of the above are former Patriots. OP alludes to being more afraid of Baltimore than Pats, inferring Boston=Pats.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong and the OP is incapable if inferring anything. He's as obtuse as a triangle.

So 14-2 can be done with no talent...

Good lord, lots of delusional fans on this site.

Not "no talent" but if you look at our roster and you look at NEs roster we are more talented by a wide margin. They just have a wide gap at the most important position. switch the QBs and the Jets would have gone undefeated. I don't think people realize how great Brady is.

Several people are using talent in the proven, rather than potential, sense. The reason Jets fans tend to call it such a massive talent discrepancy is that the Pats are primarily a young team which really has only come into its own over the second half of the season. It's tough to earn that kind of respect for your talent, even if you've amassed a 14-2 record.

There's also the added factor of some posters either hating on the concept of evaluating potential before production or simply recognizing the difficulties the Patriots had for a few years in the draft. Either way, their last two drafts have clearly reaped positive results for them and their system. Their players fit together under Belichick's vision, which I think is what junc was trying to express, but you're right that it's a mistake to dismiss their talent as such.

We ARE the team with more proven, experienced talent. At this point, we need the consistency and innovation from our coaching staff to turn that talent into a team that beats the Pats on Sunday. That's been the struggle this season.

If you can't figure out who the mods are, I don't think it's fair to blame alcohol.

You want US to clean up YOUR mess??? There's still football talk here.

Consider the saying: "He who farts in church sits in his own pew."
