    Belichik responds to Rex

    http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-..._/id/4691509/belichicks-witty-response-to-rex

Patriots coach Bill Belichick delivered a witty response to Jets coach Rex Ryan's remarks. Ryan had said that Sunday's playoff game is personal between him and Belichick.

"I might have a little quickness on him, he's probably got a little more strength and power on me," Belichick said Monday on a conference call. "I don't think you'll see either of us out there making any blocks, or tackles, or runs throws or catches. At least you won't see me doing that. It's probably a good thing for our team."

I think he takes this stuff the way he's always done it with Ocho. Has some fun with it.

Good to see Beli embracing some humor.

For the smartest guy in the game, that's a good thing.

Belichick usually responds this way when it's not the national mediots asking really dumb questions that they already know he isn't going to answer.

Its funny how when Rex makes a little joke its all "loud-mouth trash talking" when BB makes a little joke its a witty riposte!

edit: just to be clear I have nothing against BB at all, he is clearly a very good coach and from what I have seen usually responds to these things with a bit if dry humour. the media's way of dealing with rex (such as that retarded prissy article from carriuci on nfl.com) that i can't stand

    Seems Brady agrees with Rex....

    http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-...489/brady-of-course-i-get-help-from-belichick

Brady: Of course I get help from Belichick
Responding for the first time since Rex Ryan appeared to take a shot at him by saying he gets more help from his coaches than Peyton Manning, quarterback Tom Brady on Monday morning said he agreed with Jets coach’s assessment that tutelage from Bill Belichick and the Patriots’ staff was a big part of his preparation.

“I get a ton of help from our coaches,” Brady said during his weekly appearance on Boston sports radio station WEEI. “Of course we do. I think we have the best coach in the history of football. We have a great offensive staff, a great defensive staff that get all the players prepared.

“Coach talks about being a tough, physical football team that plays well under pressure. Part of us being smart and prepared is our coaches doing their homework. We use whatever we can to get ready to play. The guys that are on this team certainly buy into what our coaches teach us. Coach comes in every Wednesday morning -- it’ll be Tuesday morning this week -- and says ‘these are the things we need to do to win’ and he’s right damn near 100 percent of the time.”

I really think that whole thing was blown out of proportion. Brady is obviously a great QB but in terms of their preparation these days Manning is basically on his own.

I think Moore doesn't get enough credit. With him kinda semi-retired, Manning looked awfully anxious in the pocket this year, and saturday night in particular. He was back there hopping almost before throwing the ball.

Manning is sub .500 in playoff games. Maybe he needs a little help.

    Get a grip.

Go back to last week, and read what the defenders were saying about Manning.

Manning chokes once the ball is cocked.

    At the line.

He has no Equal...(And I vehemently dislike the guy..he's the son of a long time NFL QB that never acknowledges he started the game on second base. If Buck Frady had been coached since age 2 months...he'd be untouchable.)

    Yes. Archie Manning...Tom Moore.

That's why Brady is the better player.

lol he's always hopping around uncontrollably. i think he looked anxious because nobody was open and usually somebody's open. manning looked fine until he lost clark and collie. moore is a good offensive coordinator but who are we kidding, the play call that goes into manning's ear is the never the play that's actually run

And you know this because you and Rex sit outside their windows to see how much they study each week?

I don't know why this board isn't making a big deal out of Brady's comments. He's basically the Rex Ryan of the Pats, and it annoys me. I can't really say I like the guy too much (off the field, of course).

Stop acting like the idea that Manning is the most studied guy in the game is something people are pulling out of thin air. Even your faggy QB agreed with Rex.

Because we don't see it as some sort of sleight at our team. We're not retarded like other fans and media.
