Rex made a great point in his post-game speech in the locker room that the offense and ToP only allowed the Colts two offensive possessions in the second half of the game. That's exactly how the Jets need to play against the Patriots. Hopefully Schottenheimer figures that out and we dont' see another game where Sanchez has 40+ attempts.

Will be interesting to see the Jets gameplan. I think New England's defense is much better than the Colts against the run and they seem to be inside Sanchez' head when playing in NE at least. I don't think trying to pound it all game will work like it did vs the Colts.

It's hard to read this thread.

That Monday night was a poor performance by all phases. If any Pats fan really thinks that's going to happen again they're fuckin retarded.

Our offense played like shit unlike our first matchup. Adjustments were made by the Pats coupled with poor play.

I always predict a Jet win by at least 10 because I'm a huge homer. This game I see us winning but will be very close. They finally mentioned it last night, the fact that we lost Leonhard with just a couple days to practice can not be underestimated.

Even with the Colts injuries they still have better weapons. We matchup very well and our line play on offense has been great. I see no reason why that can't continue.

You make it sound like you would be less confident if some things had gone right last game? As you said Leonard's injury may have made a significant difference, but it does nothing to explain the shittiness in all other phases of the game.

Yes, your offense had some success week 2, but didn't match any of the adjustments that we made for week 13. How do you explain that? (oh yeah, the answer is always Shotty)

Sanchez looked like shit in his second game, he looked like shit last night... why should we all expect him to have a great performance this coming week? And BTW, Sanchez has 1 TD, 6 INT in his last 6 games... we lead the league in interceptions.

I would argue Pats vs Colts weapons, but I think you already know what that argument is... our strength is in numbers, which may also happen to be the jets weakness.

I completely understand the confidence of jets fans... you guys are coming off of a couple good wins and have a team that is seemingly "playoff ready" (strong defense, run game)... but I don't understand why we are "fucking retards" for being equally, if not even more confident than you guys are?

    Right now the Patriots are:

    1) The best team in the NFL

    2) The team that matches up worse vs the Jets (in terms of what they're best at)

Beating them will take a perfect game but we can do it... and if we do it will be a HUGE morale boost.

Kansas City refers to two cities and a metropolitan area situated at the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers. Kansas City, Missouri, the largest city in Missouri, anchors the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, which has a population of over two million. Kansas City, Kansas sits across the river from downtown Kansas City, Missouri and is the third-largest city in Kansas.

Kansas City, Missouri is a city in the U.S. state of Missouri encompassing parts of Jackson, Clay, Cass, and Platte counties. It is situated at the junction of the Missouri and Kansas Rivers (Kaw Point) and sits opposite Kansas City, Kansas. It is the largest city in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. It is the most populous city in Missouri, the seventh largest city in the Midwest, and the 35th most populous city in the United States. As of 2008, the city had an estimated population of 480,129.

It is home to a Major League Baseball team, the Kansas City Royals, and an NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

  10. Uh...I was talking about Pats fans acting like Yankees fans. I'm not sure what the success of either the Sox or the Jets has to do with that.

Didn't the Colts have 3 offensive possessions in the second half?

The Jets only chance of winning this game is to play keep-away. Play turnover free football and score points. The offense needs to win this game for the Jets

Everyone was predicting a close, hard fought game that night and of course it wasn't. This weekend could be that game instead. I do think losing Leonard so late did hurt the Jets pass defense but I don't think the Jets will just be able to get away with loading up the secondary like they did against the Colts. Maybe, Maybe not. Primarily because the Patriots Oline and rushing game is better then the Colts and I think the Patriots receiver set is better overall in what they do then the Colts as well. The Jets are going to have to be able to limit the YAC of all those little smurfs imo. Woodhead, Welker, Branch are all quick after the catch. And the Tight Ends too of course. Hernadez has been out but I hope he can play.

Can the Jets run like they did in the 2nd half enough to free up Sanchez and the spot pass? Very possible, but I think the Patriots are bigger then the Colts and better there as well. Are they good enough? I don't know. They have certainly been gashed by the right type of running back.

Man, this upcoming game will be tough and I don't care what the odds are for winning this game. I believe in JETS!

I can't agree with this. I think the Pats have alot more offensive weapons for Brady than Manning had Saturday. Manning had Garcon and Tamme. Revis took Wayne out of the game.

Even if Revis takes a Pats receiver out of the game, they have 3 or 4 more guys that must be accounted for.

Two words for the jets... pass rush. I think they will score some points this time around, but if they don't pressure Brady, they won't score enough.

I also disagree with some on here that think the defensive plan they used for the colts will work against the Pats, because the Pats will run and dink and dunk right down the field if the Jets sit back.

Since in Pats offense, there's no #1 receiver so i guess Revis has to pick one and stick with it or Revis will rotate to cover guys?

right... he's 2-2 against the media juggernaut pats. the pats can be run on, and passed on. they have just been clicking very well of recent. time for the coaches to step up with a game plan.
