I know we control our own destiny and all that but depending on who wins in the AFC we can have an easier road to the superbowl. The obvious would be to have the Chiefs beat the Ravens and then the Steeler's I think. But who would you rather play? The ravens at home or the steelers at home? I dont know about going to Pitt twice and beating them twice in a season. And I know the Ravens game would fit into the theme of the postseason of revenge for Rex Ryan. But what will give is the best chances?
How about we root for the Jets? Unless somehow KC gets there it's going to be against the eventual Super Bowl winner.
If the Ravens advance they will play the Steelers tough.... I think for the Jets (unless KC makes it somehow) playing the Ravens and Bears would be best ( if they beat the Pats somehow) because those are all teams we have lost to this year...
I always tend to root for the original AFL teams. So I'll be rooting for the Chefs to continue UPSET WEEKEND.
This is the 2010 revenge team, We taking out all those who took us out of the playoffs previously in order. Colts for 09, Pats for 06, and we end in Pitt for 04. Man, that would be sweet, extremely tough, but sweet.
This is the mindset we have to keep throughout. Since wifey is from western Mo, tomorrow I'm a Chief's fan. Fact is, If we beat Brady next week, nobody in the AFC will be able to stop this team from going to Dallas.
Bingo. This week is going to be our toughest test. I want a straight revenge route: Pats-Ravens-Packers/Bears But I'm not putting the cart before the horse. All I really want right now is a win in Fucksboro.
I'm only thinking bout the Pats. But I will say I remember after Wk 1 this year... the loss... Harbaughs handshake post game, when he said to RR "we'll see you again". he respected us then, let him fear us now. But... back to NE.
In my opinion I don't care who wins the other games. As far as I'm concerned the two teams that scare me the most were the Patriots and the Colts. They've beaten the #2 seed in my mind, if they beat the Patriots next week then in my mind the Jets become the team to beat in the AFC championship game. BUT they have to beat what in my mind has been the best team in the NFL the past two months or so in the Patriots. The Jets offense will NEED to be better next week than it was today....Sanchez CANNOT keep over throwing recievers.
i don't know about anyone else but I'm rooting for the jets. that's all I care about. if we ever beat the pats who gives a shit who we play in the championship game.
I agree with the "Who Cares" sentiment. We have to beat two of the best qbs in the history of the nfl on the road. If weve done that nobody is stopping us. That said we "should" root for the Chiefs but we all know thats not happening. So go Ravens !
