Filed to ESPN: Jim Harbaugh is expected to agree to a five-year contract with the 49ers.

No specifics reported. The fact that he's going to another NFL team and not just back to Stanford makes this Dolphins tailspin that much funnier, I think.

The Niners must be throwing the "financial" kitchen sink at Harbaugh.

He "only" got $5 mil. I guess he really didn't want to coach in Miami but who would looking up at the Pats and Jets:grin:

From the talking heads on NFL network, not having to move his family was a big deal to him.

It's the right move for Harbaugh. He gets to keep his family in the Bay area, he inherits a talented roster that's not too far off, and he walks into the worst division in football. All he needs is a QB and he's gonna make the playoffs before long.

It's also a way better gig. They have a decent amount of talent already, no powerhouse in there division and a ton of draft picks in the next two years.

coaching in the NFC West will make any rookie coach look good....especially when you can win the division with a losing record.

The NFC West was awful this year but I think it's going to be alot better in the next couple of years, I'd be worried about SL w/ that QB and I think they have a really good HC.

Spags has that defense well-tuned too......He was my 2nd choice behind Rex to coach the Jets.

Haha! Isn't that the radio edit from some crappy pop song? I remember getting a good laugh from that somewhere. There could probably be an entire thread devoted to hilarious radio edits.

Sorry, my friend. If a crappy pop song flew into the room on great leathern wings and stabbed me through the torso with a giant, thorny, flaming penis and corpse-fucked me for an hour, I still wouldn't know what crappy pop song it was.
