Cotchery has his own segment every week on the previous show Joe and Evan from 10-12PM. Joe and Evan were even invited for training camp. And Boomer and Carton also get plenty of Jet guests, including Mr. T despite them running against a Jets fan in Greenberg. Mike even had Rex Ryan when Ryan signed with the Jets.....Rex has never been on since then LOL

If that were the case, wouldn't you expect the Jets to block their players from coming on every program on WFAN? Cotchery was literally on with Joe and Evan 2 hours ago, and I am sure 1050 has programming at that time.
But there are Jet players that come on 660 all the time. Sanchez has been on Boomer and Carton. Ihedigbo was on there this morning. Cotchery is on weekly with Joe and Evan. And a poster just pointed out that Jets come on the show when Joe and Evan are filing in for Fat boy DURING the 1-6:30 time slot. So Mike is full of shit.
The above is utterly incorrect. Fatty had Jets on last year before he went on a totally-OTT tirade against Rex after the Jets beat the Colts in the regular season. Since then, no Jets have appeared on Fatcessa's show - they refuse to go on his show, and yet Cotchery and other Jets appear on other shows on WFAN. The Jets just won't go on Fatcesa's show, because he's a douche. Got it? Now try to keep up.
He also has had Mike D'Antoni AND Donnie Walsh on during the 2-6:30 time slot too when both of them are apart of the Knicks, whose flagship station is ESPN 1050....... Mike is just BSing yet again LOL
I'm just speculating, but the embargo could be a combination of things. I'm sure the Jets were very unhappy with how often Mike Francesa was killing them, and perhaps ESPN came up with the idea to just have an exclusive deal with the Jets to prevent them from going on Mike'd Up, and since the Jets were unhappy with Francesa, and ESPN is the Jets' radio home anyway, the Jets agreed to the deal. Maybe that doesn't happen if Francesa didn't continuously kill the Jets all the time. Again, just speculation on my part.
Not buying it in full... Maybe ESPN saw an opportunity when he started ripping the Jets mercilessly (and needlessly) after the first Colts game last year and asked Woody if that would be possible for the playoff run, but there is no way it would have continued into this year. The Jets are a brand, and Woody as much as he might hate Tubby's treatment of the team, he understands too that Francesa has the number 1 show in NY. He would want his players and coaches there. Plus, again, that would to me be an embargo on the whole station... what better way to steer listeners to ESPN if that was the ONLY place they could hear Jets interviews. I think it's personal at this point between Mike and Jets, and he doesn't want to say so. He wants to insinuate it's because he doesn't need the Jets, and the other station does need them.
Why does it matter that Francessa has Jets on the show? By now, you know that they aren't on so just switch over to 1050 if you want to hear from Jets players during this time slot. Joe and Evan do enough Jets talk and are more intelligent when doing so. We all know Mike has a Jets bias. It is what it is.

Because he does 5.5 hours of prime drive time in NYC, and is refusing to cover a NY team properly because of personal vendetta. How would it be if the WEEI's number one show host didn't have Red Sox on during the playoffs, because of a grudge against the team? Further, how would it be if that host had the Red Sox OPPONENTS players and manager on instead (let's welcome in Joe Girardi as the Yanks get set to take on the sox; Jim Caldwell joins us now as his Colts get ready to take on the Pats... all fine if you have, ya know, Sox and Pats on as well), as Tubby has done with the Jets on 4 consecutive weeks this season?
It matters because Fatty has trashed the Jets at every turn. Did you know he did a week - yes a week - of Braylon bashing after his DWI? Did you he actually took a call from a woman who was paralyzed by a drunk driver to make Braylon look bad? That he said that Braylon should be benched for his DWI arrest after saying no such thing when players around the league were arrested for a DWI? This is coming from a guy who says nothing when players around the league commit all sorts of horrible crimes, and says little when Giants and former Giants like Taylor, Meggett, and McKenzie are arrested.
Fatcesa is a fool. He sounds so stupid -- how is it a negative thing to not have players on his show? Great for calling him out about Cotchery appearing on other shows. Thanks Baker Maker!
