The Steelers don't sign free agents???? Has Mike heard of: Will Allen, Arnez Battle, Antwan Randle El, Jonathan Scott ???? Thank God for SIRIUS and PAT KIRWIN
He wasn't digging ditches, that's for sure, but his money did not come from Johnson & Johnson. http://nymag.com/news/sports/68084/index2.html "Johnson has had his share of stumbles. He was born Robert Wood Johnson IV in 1947, the great-grandson of one of the founders of Johnson & Johnson. As a child, his future seemed preordained: "I thought for sure I was working for J&J," he says. "I was going to be like my dad, and my grandfather, and get a chance to make Band-Aids, and pharmaceutical drugs, and cure cancer, and do all that kind of stuff." But he never got the chance to work for, let alone run, his namesake company. In 1965, when Woody was still a teenager, his father, then president of Johnson & Johnson, lost his position after a feud with Woody’s grandfather. Five years later, both men were dead, Woody was in his early twenties, and his door into the family business was closed. "People say we talk too much," says Johnson. "Fine. Whatever. Good." For a time, he drifted. He moved to Florida and got into real estate. A business partner from the seventies described the young Woody to the Times as having a Fu Manchu mustache, "his zipper open, sandals on, and long straggly hair." Still, Johnson did well in business, augmenting his considerable fortune with a successful cable company.
Ahnez battle, whoze dat? ahv nevah heard of him..Mink you know who dat is? Mink: No m'Lord I don't know what he be See no onez evah heard ov Ahnez battle, so guess wat?!?!? YA LAWST!! back afta dis
Now Mike is making the Colts into big winners for just making the playoffs. Dungy compares this Colt team to 06's colts SB team, and of course, Fatty pours cold water on that idea.
Derp. Did you read the rest of his post? Johnson probably got plenty of money after his father and grandfather died, but he started his own business since he wasn't able to work for J&J, so yeah starting your own business equals lots of work, no matter how rich you are.
historically the steelers don't bring in a lot of free agents. They are probably 80% draft for their starters while we are probably 50% draft 40% Free agent 10% trade Draft keller Sanchez Slauson Brick Mangold Moore (UDFA) Greene Connor Ellis Pohua Devito (UDFA) Harris B.Thomas Revis Free Agents Woody Richardson LT Scott Pace Taylor Pool Leonhard Trade Holmes BE Cromartie Thats 56% draft 32% Free agents 12% trade for our main starters
Of course, but the fact is he was born into a life of wealth beyond 99.99% of the population's dreams. It's great that he started a company and all that, but there's a difference between being filthy rich and starting a company and being a nobody and starting a company and making a fortune.
