If jim O'Brien would start playing Tyler Hansbrough more the Pacers could reclaim some of their lost fanbase:grin:
I used to hate those race car sounds they'd blast during the Knicks-Pacers playoff games back in the day. Saw a game at Market Square Arena in 1994, that was fun, Greg Anthony and Haywoode Workman got in a fight that night. Hit the bars in downtown after it, good time.
Face value for Saturday is between 55 and 300. I think the ones that are left are between 100 and 150 or so. The views are pretty much good, except at the very top of the stadium on the Colts sidline, there are slightly obstructed because of press boxes or offices or whatever they are above those seats. http://www.lucasoilstadium.com/Tickets/View_From_Seats/ This site will show you the view from any section.
Haven't the colts sold out evrey game for years now? How come all of a sudden they can't sell out a playoff game? is it b/c of raised prices for the playoffs? I gte that they have made it every year but if you are going to pay for the reg season why not pay for postseason? AND your only SB title run you did host a WC game. I expect to win Saturday but I can see Indy beating us and pitt and hosting the title game against Baltimore. Not likely but it could happen.
I just went to the Bears game and ended up having to drive back because of the storm--cost me a night's sleep and about $500 for a rent-a-car, gas, tolls and a speeding ticket. Fucking Indiana.
Yeah, reality bites. Going sounds good in theory, but... I think I'll make burritos, turn on the flat screen, surround sound, get the wbs going, and hit the couch. Sounds like a plan. I know some might say that makes me not such a big fan, but whatever. I could see flying to some nice warm locale this time of year for such a game, but Indy not so much.
Going or not going to a game does not make you more or less of a fan. It's like those people who always wear Jets gear so they think theyre a bigger fan than you, Fuck that.
I have friends in Chicago and every four years we hook it up, I just got hosed by the game being Christmas weekend and then the storm, but had a good time. Made it to the tailgate and the game, etc, just the trip home was longer and costlier than expected. Fucking Indiana. Female cop too, I was hoping to charm my way out of it but didn't really come close.
I think we are all great fans, any fan that spends as much time as we all do discussing our teams is a great fan whether we go to games or not but if you have never been to a road game I suggest it b/c they are alot of fun.
Especially when we win. Not too many things better than taking that big grin walk out to your car. lol
I have only seen one road loss, that was at Washington 2003. The walk back to the car wasn't very fun.
Last week was my first road loss, 2-1 lifetime not counting Giants games. Much better drive and you don't have to go through fucking Indiana.
I went to one game in Foxboro but we won that one, I can't imagine walking out of there w/ a loss as bad as those fans were when we won.
