I don't think it is possible to defend him at this point. He should never have been drafted let alone a top pick. now if he was an undrafted FA he would have been loved on this board, but not nearly as rich.
OMG he was bad  His signature move was getting there just in time to extend his hand to help up the guy who actually made the tackle.
He's far worse.. Robertson had some moments. In 2004 he was actually pretty good too. His problem was his knees pretty much fell apart and then he was played out of position as a 3-4 nose tackle.
You can justify his lack of production to yet another position change, but 42 career tackles at the end of the 3rd regulation season for a 6th overall pick is a bust, it cannot be logically argued otherwise. When the head coach comes out and says in this guys third year that 'He seems like he wants to be a football player now'. Sorry, that's a fucking bust.
Vernon Gholston was not brought in here for sacks. He was brought here for a reason and has done a great job of it. He was drafted as the finest bench warmer NFL has ever seen and he did not let Mangina down. Im actually surprised Mangina recognized Gholston uncanny ability to keep the bench warm.
None of those are a reason to make a useless thread. But I did find out today that the only way to judge a player is by his sack stats.
Nope. If he was undrafted, he would not have made it out of his first training camp w/o being cut. Jamaal Westerman was undrafted and had shown far more ability than Gholston ever did.
You're just pissed off because other posters beat you at making "Official Game Discussion threads" Hug it. BTW, I for one and the rest of us would love for you to defend Ghoslton..the floor is yours.
Hahaha lol.......yeah, Gholston's a bust. Reeeally newsworthy. Honestly, if you're first figuring this out now, you might wanna start watching games a little bit more critically.
