Nice to see a level-headed, objective look even though you should have full confidence in your team, every fan should. I'm looking at the game from an outsider with really no care who wins. I mean I sure as hell don't want to face the Colts in the POs. I just think Peyton finds a way to win. If there's 2 minutes left to win the game, he'll do it in 45 seconds. It's just what he does. I actually think your safeties are your assets, but with Manning/Wayne and now Tamme and Blair White...sometimes it doesn't matter how good your safeties are. It's hard to get him off his game especially at home, it can be done, but it takes a flawless game plan.
Oh I'm sorry, is this a private board. What's it matter? I saw Steelers stuff posted, I replied to Steelers stuff.
It's true, you can never count Peyton out, but personnel wise we do matchup much better this year. While Peyton has played good this has been his worst season in 8 years I think it was. If we can execute our gameplan like you said we should come out on top. Just like Dilfer said, I think it'll be our offense that wins us the game.
Right, that's why I said I think the Jets asset is their CBs. Peyton's year definitely isn't on a Tom Brady level, but he's still damn dangerous with that annoying quick release and almost begging for the blitz so he can shred you up the middle. I think anyone can beat anyone on any day and of course the Jets could win, I was just saying to the Indy guy it's just hard to pick against Peyton.
Every single steelers fan I know thought the same thing about the first game. Any given Sunday anything can happen.
Yep, I said it in the post right above. Anyone can beat anyone at any time. That's right, that means the Pats too.
Good to see that you want the pats to go down too. The Jets will take care of that one for ya. Jets v. steelers in the afccg would be one hell of a game. Even though my fiance and her entire family would hate me after the Jets won.
Isn't it crazy how one of his worst years includes ( don't quote me on this but I think) 33 td's and 4700 yards passing. That's how good this guy is.
Hey, just saw that the Colts Titans game is going to be on NFL replay tonight. Good chance to check out the brutal beat-down the Colts put on the Titans.
LOL, is there anyone NOT wanting the Pats to go down? Aren't you sick of people talking about them like they're made of kryptonite or something? Kinda hoping they've peaked already and are in for a huge let down. As for Steelers in the AFCCG, that would be great, but we have that pesky divisional battle first and I'm really hoping for KC only cause it's the lesser of all the evils.
I don't doubt that about Garcon. He has a tendancy to lose focus when things aren't amp'd up. He makes the spectacular catch, then drops the ones right in his hands. I hope Manning is off a little on his throws to 85, then he should come up big! lol White has good hands, but not the speed of Collie. Tamme has done a better than average job, but also lacks Clark's speed.
One thing that should help the Colts is the newly found running game. There is a correlation between Manning not forcing throws to make plays (ints) and the success of the passing game the last four games. If they can continue to run, then the play action will open up the middle.
Just wondering, it you thought they ran well in the last game, was going to watch it on NFL replay tonight- I was mostly watching Bears/Packers on Sunday. I'm just thinking that Indy fans may have a different concept of a 'good running game' than some of the rest of the world.
