right after Gruden finishes talking about how Luck is great in all facets of the game, he throws a pick. Gotta love a good announcer jinx.
I'm surprised they haven't talked about Andrew Phillips yet. Also Derek Hall, although he hasn't gotten the same attention. See here. SI did an article on Bill Phillips and his family after the crash.
Fucking hell, let David Green kick. He was a top 5 PK prospect at Mission Viejo, he should at least be able to make an XP. Fuck Whitaker.
That run reminded me of the 05...I think...SC game. Edit: nevermind, JR Lemon's run was in the 04 game.
The RB stable approach has worked well all season. Can't wait for Anthony Wilkerson to fully develop, though.
I say I hope he comes out mostly because I have family in north Carolina so the panthers are my favorite NFC team. It's a tough decision for luck though IMO. Stay and get a world class education at stanford while being the golden boy of college football or go pro, virtually guarantee yourself the number 1 pick and not risk injury.
on the last TD pass, one of the VT ends didn't even bother rushing the passer. He kind of just stood there and wiggled his hips back and forth. Tackle had an easy job on that play. Not sure why Stanford was even going deep there. Probably the main reason why it worked was VT was sure Stanford would try to run out the clock with a huge lead and under 7 to play. I guess Harbaugh and Luck want to score more in their last game?
If Harbaugh leaves, I sure hope it's for the NFL. I was pissed when Willingham left for ND after building a great Stanford program in the late 90s and had a brilliant 2001 season, especially when he was rebuffed before the O'Leary fiasco.
