Now it's official. Here's the New York Jets' schedule for 2011: Home: Buffalo, Miami, New England, Kansas City, San Diego, Jacksonville, Dallas and the New York Giants. Away: Buffalo, Miami, New England, Denver, Oakland, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington. Analysis: Say hello to the NFC East. As always, the Giants game will be fascinating. The Jets get to be the home team, with no chance of a coin flip messing it up for Woody Johnson. The schedule also features some intriguing conference games -- San Diego (will LaDainian Tomlinson be around to face his old team?) and Baltimore (another Rex Ryan grudge match). The dates and times, of course, won't be announced until the spring. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets
Why are we playing the entire NFC East division and the entire AFC West Division? Why can't they just mix it up a bit ?
I think this is actually the 4th or 5th look posted since last night. Why do we have to play the AFC East twice? They're hard.
Home: Buffalo, Miami, New England, Kansas City, San Diego, Jacksonville, Dallas and the New York Giants. Away: Buffalo, Miami, New England, Denver, Oakland, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington. Bold = toughest matchups IMO.
Man, I am so sick of the Jets having to play games in Oakland. I know we had a break this year, but seriously. It's like Al Davis shells cash to the schedulers to make sure it's always in Oakland.
The divisions we play are rotated. Every 4 years we play an entire NFC division(we last played NFC East in 2007) Every 3 years we play an entire AFC division(we last played AFC West in 2008) The other 2 games we play against AFC teams from the other 2 divisions against teams that finished in the same position w/in their division as we did in ours.
Miami in NJ tough, but not @MIA?... are you expecting their home woes to continue, or is that just a mistake?
Your both Miami games will be easy wins. Looks like our idiot owner wants our moron of a coach back. The second game was a fluke.
Lot of nice opportunities to go to road games (I've never been to one). Baltimore, Philly and Washington come to mind as possibilities.
Well they're losing Charlie Weis so time will tell on that one. Yes, because I think a team thats won their road game against the Jets 3 years in a row will be tough.
