The only thing he'll say about the Jets today is how Rex embarrassed himself at the press conference today
I could care less if he doesn't want to talk about yesterday's game, but to devote today to the Giants collapse, and ignore the Jets Colts game is a joke.
I can't disagree with any of those last 5 minutes about the CBA, the expanded schedule, and so forth.
I can't blame them talking mostly Giants today. Eulogize their season, then move onto the Jets tomorrow. Not a whole lot to talk about yesterday's Jets' game. And the rest of the week, it'll be almost all Jets-Colts. I'm sure 1050 is talking almost all Jets today. But 1050's reception sucks, and it's not on TV, so I listen to Mikey. Francesa's absolutely right about the 18 game season. People think it'll ruin football. Huh? Make more roster spots, add another bye week, and who is really complaining about 3 extra weeks of real football? Not me. They want to add Tuesday Night Football? Fine by me. Just more games I can watch. More fantasy football I can pay attention to. More NFL is a great thing to me.
If they do it right, the 18 game season could be great. And considering that it's gonna be the major sticking point in the new CBA negotiations, I imagine every feasible suggestion will be entertained.
Nope... just a reminder of how good, when the agenda is not personal, Chubby can be. Since Russo left, there is no one to keep him in check, as far as his personal agenda is concerned. It's why people like me, who have been listening for 15+ years, have a tough time letting go... he and Russo were great radio... love or hate, they were great radio. Now, so much of his show is a personal narrative, and his ego is so out of control, his agenda rules the day. If you are a Giant or Yankee fan, doesn't bother you so much... The worst thing that happened to Francesa to me was, when Russo left, no one was able to step up and challenge his show for ratings supremacy (1050 erred so greatly in choosing Kay to go up against him. Afternoon was there for the taking for the right personality, and Kay is WAY to polarizing) therefore, he didn't have to do anything to the show, didn't feel challenged, and his ego got a ridiculous boost. It's like the late night wars, in a sense. Had his ratings lead been challenged, he might have had to take on another co-host (as was rumored as soon as Russo left; they never did it because his ratings kept up) and the show might have maintained some humility. But that didn't happen. Credit goes to the man in one way though, and that is, he lost his co host of 20 years and was able to maintain his ratings. Unfortunately, it's just spiraled out of control in the ego department, and, ya know... people can record your show Mike, so they know what you say.
Tank just tipped off that he's gonna destroy the Jets at 3 for their post game comments. This should be good.
Da Giants ah first class in everything dey do. Da Giants ah a first class organization, they do everything right but they not perfect
Giants are first class in everything they do... like when their players throw their helmets into the stands. Or the way their players shoot themselves in night clubs, and then throw the gun in a river to cover it up and then they don't suspend him for the year until an "investigation is done" They handled that really well. Or when they suspended Kareem McKenzie for his DUI. What's that? They didn't? Oh. They are such a classy organization.
