Mangini is out in Cleveland, Rob is probably able to get out of any remaining committment (esp. if he's not picked to replace Mangini, which appears unlikely as Holmgren wants an "O" coach).

If Rob wants to elevate his stature for a head coach, what better way than to work in NY ?

    What would he do?

In a perfect world Rob would've been a offensive mastermind and with their powers combined they'd become Captain Planet!

Rob will at least get some looks as a HC, may be able to land a job.

Houston would be wise to can Kubiak and get Rob. But they're not wise so they're sticking with Kubiak.

Rob will be a HC and Rex has said before he wouldn't hire his brother because it wouldn't be right.

Rob wouldn't make much sense with the Jets. I think Rex needs someone with a slightly different style to bounce ideas off.

I'm sure Rex bounces things off Rob all the time, maybe even his wife.

You are wrong because before and after the Browns game he stated they put the paperwork in every year to get permission to speak with Rob about getting him.

Why would he not remain in Cleveland?

here's the thing, sounds like a good idea on the surface but why would Rob wanna do that? As much as I'm sure he loves his brother it would not be a good career move. He knows Rex would get all the positives when it comes to the defense as far as the press is concerned, so it wouldn't help elevate his career in anyway. If he doesn't get a head coaching job he needs to go to a team like the Texans, that has a lot of talent with a bad defense. This way if he can ever turn that defense around and get that team into the playoffs it would help him get noticed a lot more.

probably a nick fall-back option at best. he'll get looks as head coach at many levels.

I like the idea of Rob going to Houston. Kubiak is keeping his Jo,but the DC is out. Rob would be a good fit.
