The end has come to the 2010 Regular Season. The Jets have finished 11-5 and are headed to the playoffs as a wild card. I think most rational Jets fans would have to call this regular season a success and hopefully the momentum carries the Jets to post-season victories and dare I say the Superbowl.

But before we look forward, let's take a quick look back and talk about our favorite game of the 2010 regular season.

I had to leave one game out and I decided not to include the final game against the Bills because it didn't count for anything even though it was a lot of fun to watch the Jets wipe the floor with the Bills.

Good choices except for the last honorable mention. I didn't include any losses cuz how could that possibly be anyone's favorite game of the season.

I'll ultimately choose the win against the Steelers in Pitt. That was the most fulfilling win for me.

I chose the others because, as Francesa would say, I was in da buildin' and I had a blast at those games.

the last Bills game was far more fun than the first one.

That said I am having a devil of a time trying to choose between the games.

The satisfaction at stomping NE at home without Revis.
The relief at hanging on to beat the fins
    The Pick 6 against Favre
The fear when that ball went incomplete followed by relief when the flag came in at Denver
Back to Back to Back wins late against insurmountable odds.
    Thanksgiving domination
Showing up to beat a damn good Steelers team, after dropping 2 straight in embaressing fashion.
The season finale shellacking of the Bills starters with our scrubs (ok minus their Qb but still....)

As far as a football game goes, Cleveland was a battle. Other games may have been more exciting, but overall I just felt this was a great matchup, and it was exciting as well.

  8. I picked the Denver game. Sure Denver completely collapsed after that game..but at the time when we played them they had an opportunistic defense and arguably the best passing game in football. Mile high has traditionally been a tough place to play for the jets and at 5-1 heading into the bye...the jets could have easily let one get away from them on the road.

But they fought back late, and made the plays they needed to win a crucial game.

Definitely the Steelers game for me.

Coming off 2 bad losses and hearing all this shit talk from others saying how the Jets aren't that good, lose to all the good teams and only get wins against the bad ones, we go into Pittsburgh, call a very solid game offensively as well as getting good play from the defensive and ST units, and get the win against a top team in snowy conditions.

The last 2 plays of that game I was trembling with nerves. The relief I felt after the game was over felt very satisfying.

Beating the Steelers that essentially put us in the playoffs was my favorite game of the season.

December 19 - Jets stop the Steelers as the clock runs out got my vote, but a very close second was the Texans game because Sanchez made perfect throws and drove the offense down the field in such little time.

Steelers. A lot of questions were being asked of the team and Mark Sanchez at that point, to go to Pittsburgh and win was a huge statement.

How can it not be being 1 of 2 teams to beat the Pats this year?

Went with the Week 2 win, because it felt great shutting up all the haters who thought our season was about to spiral downward after the Ravens loss. Like Dan LeFucktard with that rant on his radio show.

Runner up was the Pittsburgh game, because the Jets were in a similar position as Week 2. Nobody thought we were going to win.

Houston. Just for the sheer emotion of the moment. That's the only game where I literally had to lay down right after to keep from passing out due.

Steelers was the most meaningful though.

I can definitely get used to beating the Pats at home every year in the Sanchez/Rex era.

As lots of posters said before the season started, the Patriots are in decline, best days are behind them, AFC East goes through NY, and will be lucky to be in the playoffs. So the Jest should beat them every year. :)

Almost went with the Houston game. Anyone who stuck around to see the end knows why, but the disgust of giving the game away in the late third/early fourth quarter just barely pushes it out of first. I was very tempted to take the Cleveland game too, but I had to go with the win against NE.

It was a very serene scene at the stadium right around kickoff and I remember having an amazing sense of calm, just enjoying watching a great football game. When I sat down in my seats it was the first day game at the new stadium I had been too. 4 oclock start and the sun was covering barely half the field, temperature was perfect. I was on a football cloud of zen. Then, we got to witness a solid performance by the New York Jets, great football day for me.

The Pasts are nearing their name with every year.

I imagine the Jets and we the fans will have to beat the band-wagoners off with bats and other blunt objects.
