The Pats fans I know are nervous about the Colts & Ravens. They're both good teams and can definitely beat the Pats if things go well for them. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to see Manning. I thought the Colts would stink once they lost Clark & Collie but Manning seems to make Tamme & White look like all-pros.

Our coach and players have talked about how we have the best team in football, so we shouldn't be scared to play anyone Sure playing another team might be easier, but winning by beating the best is more satisfying. There are no excuses. If you lose to that team, you clearly weren't better and didn't deserve to be a champion in a first place. I wouldn't be mad if we somehow won a SB by having some easy opponents, but I understand where the OP is coming from
This is so fucking stupid its annoying. The goal is to get into the superbowl... not to pat ourselves on the back for beating the best QBs in the history of the league. Beating Manning and Brady back to back doesn't mean jack shit if we lose the next game. I will ALWAYS root for the my team to play the opponents that give them the best chance of playing in the superbowl. I guess with your reasoning, rooting for a 1st round bye is also for pussy fans too since we're trying to avoid a first round game.
I agree with OP, hes completely right. Like any team in the playoffs the goal is Superbowl and to get there you have to beat one of the big dogs one way or the other.
