They were definitely very physical with the Colts receivers but Polian complained and now the contact rule is being enforced. That's different then tackling the receivers at the LOS. That's just not going to work.
I would think by shorting the game we have a great chance. I will like to just see us runned down their throat and milking the clock down just like the giants did when they beat the bills in the super bowl....
This was popular in 2007. Seems, ummm, relevant this year as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naVZyTXOqes
Thank god that giant bag of suck is gone. I was all about the Jets winning but he took being a homer to a whole new level.
Every team tries to get to Brady or come up with some scheme, usually it doesn't work. Being such a young team, trick plays work against them at times. Green Bay started with the onside kick. Cleveland did some tricky things. One of the neatest tricks I've seen this year was Sanchez keeping the ball and running it in on a bootleg that fooled everyone, including the camera men I think As for keeping it out of Brady's hands. He only had the ball for 19 minutes total against the Packers and they still won 31-27. Brady completed only 15 of 24 passes for 163 yards while Flynn went 24-for-37 for 251 yards. That game might have ended differently if Dan Connolly didn't go 71 yards on a kickoff return, setting up Brady's 2 yards TD pass to Hernandez right before the half. Somehow the Pats find a way to win. Sometimes offense, sometimes D, sometimes special teams (Miami). Once in a while more than 1 phase of the game gets going and blowouts occur, but usually they get enough out of some part to win, though not always pretty It's crazy to look ahead though. This years playoff bunch is full of tough teams. KC has a LOT of NE influence. Cassell is playing great, they have a spectacular running game & a beast of a receiver. Don't they also have Crennel & Weiss, 2 guys that have been to the promised land a few times? They are a good team and shouldn't be taken lightly by any means Should be a great post season. Lot's of great teams. Can't believe SD lost with so much on the line. They would have been a handful for anyone unlucky enough to have to play them. If they didn't shoot themselves in the foot 5 or 6 times when they played the Pat's, they prob would have won. Glad they came up short. Now if only the Jags can edge out Indy
an 11 man jail break is fine and would result in the same thing, but the refs will blow the play dead before we hit brady, resulting in 15 yard penalties, fines, ejections, etc. im trying to think of ways to hit brady with minimal consquences. if we tackle/hold their recievers at the LOS the play will not be blown dead, giving the 8-9 blitzers a good shot at hitting brady legally for nothing more than a 5 yard holding penalty.
talk about extreme unsportsman like play, the jets would be the laughing stock of all with that kind of game plan, plus reviled. what you're saying basically is that you're putting a bounty on a player and thats about as low as a person gets. thank god we'll never see it and when the jets do win it all, it will have been with honorable play and methods.
Have Gholston take a bat to Brady's leg on the sidelines. Ejection and 15 yard penalty. You don't need to be Einstein to think of a way to cheaply take out a QB during a game.
