Well, the Eagles only having 5 days for the next game doesn't matter any more.

My system pointed me towards Minnesota.

If I was still making my picks based on stupid shit like hunches and bias, I would have taken the Eagles to cover the 14.5 spread.

I was 92-98 with some pushes pickin' like that. I had to do something different. I was betting on teams.

I now have my own handicapping system. Now I do not bet on teams. Now I bet on the spread. My system is designed to find bad lines.

    Results
    Week 13: 10-6
    Week 14: 11-5
    Week 15: 12-3-1
    Week 16: 12-4

Now, I will not keep that up. I'll have some bad weeks. The system is sound, though. I think it can get me in that 55-60% range for a full season. If you can pick at a .550 clip against the spread for a full season, you'd do good in pools.

HAHA...as I said 2 pages back, by the time the Bears take the field in Lambeau, the Bears will have nothing to play for. There is NO FUCKING WAY the Falcons lose to Carolina at home with HFA on the line. Bye-bye Giants. The Eagles really fucked them the last 2 weeks.

With both the Packers-Bears and Giants-Redskins games being late games, there will be a whole lot of scoreboard watching going on on the Giants sideline.

NBC was talking about how the NFL set it up that all the key games that affect one another are happening at the same time, so you won't have teams resting starters, really.

Every game is a division game, which makes it easier to do that (backloading the division schedule definitely worked out well this year, so I'm sure they'll continue to do that). They got a break with that when San Diego lost this week, making their game meaningless (Oakland-KC is early, but SD-Denver is late). The fact that Minnesota unexpectedly stunk this year also helped, since they're scheduled early while Chicago-GB is late. And, of course, the worst thing for competitive fairness is if Atlanta wins at 1:00, and then Chicago packs it in and Green Bay gets in the way the Jets did last year (which is of course exactly what I'm rooting for).

Gee, if that happens will everyone say how Green Bay doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs?

That was actually one of my husband and my fav parts of the game. Guessing the things that Farve's whacked out dementia'd up self was saying to people. We were also thinking that they were just making people stand beside him so that it looked like he was talking to them and not to the giant purple dinosaur standing beside him. Ahhh... good times.
