Who cares? the important thing is we have 10 W and other teams not, so we are in playoffs and we earned in each game.

if the jets played chicago on 10/17 and lost (like they did), but then played denver on 12/26 and won (which is what happened), our record would be exactly the same, our scores against opponents would be exactly the same, but winning the day after xmas would = playoffs, not backing in.

    semantics.

They'll be backing in to the ticker-tape parade too.

    This is stupid...

Like saying we backed into a Super Bowl win if we scored 40 points in the first half and 0 in the 2nd but still won.

Beating Pittsburgh pretty much guaranteed our playoff spot.

1-3 in the last 4 games.

Maybe not 'backing in', but certainly not 'steaming in with a lot of momentum'.

You aren't a Jet fan, why have you been lurking around here now?

What kind of fan are you? Chiefs, Steelers, or Patriots?

    Sorry. Let me try again:

AWESOME! We have lullled the league to sleep by giving up massive points and dropping 3 of our last 4! We have them all RIGHT WHERE WE WANT THEM!

Do you sign up for 10 wins going into the last week
with 3 of the last 5 games of the season being on the road against the AFC #1 seed, and what's looking like the AFC #2 seed, and NFC #2 seed?
    I do.

Nah, you just bitch because you didn't get everything the coach talked about during hard knocks. Completely ignoring the key injuries that should have changed expectations just a bit.

As much as someone will tell me I am wrong about this, there are some people who are more comfortable being miserable. I see this on this site and in real life all the time. Certain personalities can have 99 awesome positive things going on for them and 1 bad thing and they will decide to spend all their energy being upset about the 1 bad thing.

10 points to Miami and and 17 to the Steelers isn't exactly massive points.

I was more referring to your post in the other thread, comparing the Chiefs to the Jets and looking at your post history.

Don't think I've read one pro-Jet post yet.

I agree. You should see the yankee board i have been posting on for many years. one bad outing by CC, or a bad night for someone at the plate and the sky is falling. It's embarrassing sometimes. I can do nothing but rejoice for the turnaround the Jets organization has had. Granted it has been a circus, but that makes it even more fun for me. these are exciting times, nothing less.

We supposedly back in every year.......... but I'd rather back in and win some playoff games than be one and done every fuckin time like some other teams we know. It really doesn't matter how you get in the tournament as long as you're in.

Agreed, while we've been "backing in" to the playoffs the past 2 years Miami has been backing in to a 7-9 record 2 years in a row.

I'll go with option A every time.
