...against Buffalo. Since this game is meaningless, let's see those coverage skills Rex has talked about in live action. Thoughts?
How about snaps at the position he actually played for the past four years in college? I'm much more interested in seeing what he can do as a halfback than what he can do in a position change.
No doubt in my mind McKnights going to see some serious action sunday. If LT gets more than 5 touches id be quite angry. The guys tank is running low he needs the rest. Id love to see Greene and Mcknight both get plenty of action though
I can wait for the 2011 preseason to see him run the ball. If he can show anything at all playing CB, I think he would have a more of a chance of taking away playoff snaps from Wilson, Coleman and Cole than he would from LT and Greene.
McKnight should get plenty of action running the ball in the 2nd half. He's not going to make any impact at this point of the season playing corner. His future is as a running back.
You remember what happened last post season? You had an old beat up RB in Thomas Jones completely run out of gas for the post season, then the entire ground game depended on Greene. Once he got hurt our post season was done. With LT running out of gas fast, then having Greene as the only other option im very damn interested in what McKnight is capable of
Well since the game is meaningless like you say, wouldn't it make more sense to actually give those reps to the guy we drafted to play corner?
So it makes more sense to throw him out there in a position that he hasn't played since high school so he can take away reps from guys who have played that position their entire careers instead of trying to build his confidence at a position he has the most experience so he can maybe add another facet to the offense in the playoffs? As Mick said, "What is with you people?"
I've seen Wilson play corner and I've seen McKnight run the ball both in college and the NFL. What I haven't seen is McKnight play corner. Also getting snaps at CB at Buffalo does not mean then he can't play offense. They a mutually exclusive. It's not like we need to save him for the playoffs. Rex can run him to the ground for all I care as long as I see some snaps on defense. This would be the game to do it.
He hasn't played corner since high school and he was asked to play halfback for a school that has been notorious for having a weak secondary under Pete Carrol. Do you think that maybe there is a reason for that?
Dude, the preseason is where you try that shit. Not a regular season game, no matter how meaningless. The snaps go to Wilson, because he may be thrown into the fire if someone goes down in the playoffs. Your idea can wait until next year.
So your defense which sucked last week...and you want to make it worse... And I thought we had stupid fans...
