I dont think he is a great cornerback but he does give you the luxury of not having to play a man over top when you put him on a fast receiver like Mike Wallace or Randy Moss
He's definitely a lot better than the #2 carousel we had last year. He's not Revis, if that's what you were expecting.

Just because a CB is somewhat hyped up doesn't mean they are going to be the same thing as Revis all the time. Corners get beat often, even good ones. Cromartie has been very good since having a pretty awful first game. The problem with our defense definitely hasn't been the corners; it's been everything else.
Yeah, that was precisely my point. Cromartie is good, not 10+ million a year good but the market's been set.

Unknown because there's no CBA. If the new CBA works like the last one, the Jets would probably get a compensatory pick in 2012-likely after either the third or fourth round-but it depends on what he signs for, whether the Jets sign free agents, who else the Jets lose to free agency, and how Cro plays for his new team.
