Anyone else agree? Both has better offensive schemes than Schotty, and to be are much better play-callers, especially in situational plays

If Kubiak and Norv Turner (both may get the can for underachieving again) are let go, who would you rather have more?

I'm going with Turner, that man has an excellent offensive mind

Norval was great as an OC with the 90's cowboys but hasn't really done much in that role since then. Kubiak had more recent success as an OC.

I think I'd be happy with either but would probably prefer Kubiak.

Callahan or Cavanaugh are our two best options. Keep as much consistency for Sanchez and he's going to excel next season.

If we need a new OC, why not try to employ someone that would gain something by being our OC. Josh McDaniles would be able to excact some revenge on the Pats twice a year. Not to mention he would be able to help tutor Sanchez instead of us employing a 50 year old QB to answer his question.

No matter who we would get we'd be bitchin about them in a few years anyway.

We haven't executed well this season by any means in certain games, but Norv Turner on the offensive end has gotten the best out of ALL of his players

He takes full advantage of a players skill-set and size, and a simpler scheme to get his players the ball.

I think an offensive guru like Turner would take Sanchez to levels Schotty wouldn't

Callahan needs to stay with the offensive line, that's it, I can't see him running the offense, and what makes you think he would do the same exact thing Schotty has done? Can Cavanaugh really be a good OC? What have we seen from him that would prove otherwise

Kubiak and Turner would do wonders

    Kubiak -yes

Norv - no - cannot explain it but something about him makes me want to punch him in the face

I understand people think keeping consistency will be better - but who wants to stay consistenly mediocre at best. Sometimes you need to take a step back to step forward. If it take a year of growing pains with players adjusting to e new system, so be it - this team will continual to struggle with BS at the helm.

With as good a game the offense had yesterday, there will still plenty of things that really made you scratch your head and wonder.

I'll say this too - if Schotty continues with game plans that have Nacho above 60% passing we may have to consider keeping him. I know that thought won't sit well with many, myself included, but maybe he finally gets it.

I don't think he'll do the same thing that Schotty has done. I think he'll do better and rely more on intermediate routes and a solid running attack without people calling for his head for passing too much.
Cavanaugh helped win a Super Bowl with Tony Banks and Trent Dilfer throwing to Travis Taylor, Patrick Johnson and Qadry Ismail. I'm fairly certain he could do better with an offense that has talent outside of the RB and TE positions.

I'd feel better about it if we didn't go through the same thing last season.

I hear you but it was different. We were far more reliant on a dominant running attack at the end of last season. The last two games he's created a lot more easy completion opportunities for nacho which has opened up the running game.

I would have to see the same type of success in each game to really believe he's figured something out though.

This thread confused me. I thought the Snow sucks option was a vote against the Isles GM so I chose that.

C'mon man, we are missing Streit and Okposo, if we had those 2 guys with the current HC this team would be a force to reckon with.

I wish we would get rid of Bruno Gervais, he sucks, I don't know why he gets so much time, he doesn't move the puck well and can't win any battles in the corner.

    ^ That..........

    The rule should be this.

When #6 is above 65% call anything you like.
Under 60%, No Pass plays down the field. (> 10 yards, or 3 seconds)

And please..STOP GOING DOWNFIELD WITH HARTSUCK,RICHARDSON AND A RB in the formation.

I think there's at least some chance we could hire McDaniels. I don't think his relationship with Belichick is as good as many people think it is.

Few years? People will want his head on a stick the first time he calls a running play that gains 1 yard.

I usually don't comment on the threads..but this one is pretty pointless. Even if Schottenheimer is fired (which he won't be),Kubiak nor Turner aren't coming here. Turner will be back in San Diego next season. Kubiak will probably be fired, but I think he'll turn up somewhere else, where there is a possibility he could be head coach.

    :rofl2::lol::rofl2:

Come on brother, you really think that Kyle Okposo and Mark Streit alone make the difference between losing 21 of 23 games and being a force to be reckoned with?

I'm as die hard of an Isles fan as you'll find, but this team sucks dick. And it probably will until Chairman Wang sells.

As for the actual question, it's really a moot point. Schotty isn't getting fired, and if he were he wouldn't be replaced by Norv or Kubiak--the Jets would probably bring in a Rex Ryan guy (like Hue Jackson, for example.)
