Ok, since there is a fed up with the negative fans thread, I wanted to post my feelings. I am fed up with the cockiness and arrogance that the coach and team displayed this year. They set this up as superbowl or bust, it is looking 99% like it will be bust. Let's get this straight, I love confidence, I want my team thinking they are going to win it all, but would rather they do it, then talk about it. Talk is cheap if you can't back it up. Ryan has a LOT to learn as a HC. Let's see if he can duplicate last years playoff success. I highly doubt it, but strongly hope for it. I hope they learn the word humble, and to do their talking on the field instead of off it.

Really, every coach of every team has this goal, Ryan is loud and brash, and it's a good thing, so what if we don't win the SB this year? We have next year and the year after that and so on and so on, stop whining! If you're so bothered by other fans and the medias perception of this team then root for another one.
I have no idea how old u are, but I firmly remember his old man as HC. It was the same shit every year, we will win the SB, blah blah blah. He won ZERO! This team was horribly coached, horribly! If you are happy with above average, so be it. I am not when was told I was getting the real thing.

Look, I am happy they are in the playoffs, I will root for this team no matter what. But, they talked so much trash this year, and quite honestly did not even come close to living up to it. They had a cupcake schedule and needed several miracles to make the playoffs. If that makes you happy, to each his own. I would rather the HC do his talking on the field, and actually win a SB and then talk about!
I really haven't seen much cockiness out of this coach or this team in a couple months. Matter of fact, I tend to think the cockiness that gets attributed to Rex was more the product taking on a character for Hard Knocks. He as much as said that.
Ummmm....2nd year QB. Retard OC. Fastest Jets Coach to 20 wins. Back to Back Playoff appearences, and an AFCCG under his belt. WTF? Had the OC deigned to implement the Short Passing game some people...(cough cough) said we needed, prior to WEEK F**NG 14...We're probably no worse than a two loss team. But at the End of the day...20+ wins, and two playoff berths in two years? get a grip. You must be about 12, because anyone old enough to remember the 'deze and dose guys' guy a.k.a. The media said SB or Bust. The Jets will always tell you they want to win it all every year. I think every Jets fan needs to be put through a seminar on how this team is going to operate under Rex. They will not guarantee a ring, but they will tell you that's where they're headed. The SB is their only objective. They are always going to talk tough and be arrogant, although I don't know what's arrogant about being honest in terms of what your goal is for the season. Just get used to it. I like it over the pussy culture that has been passed down from generation to generation. Rex is trying to undo what no one else decided to try to do for decades.
If you can't handle the HC of your team standing up and saying that his team will win the superbow, not try really hard to do it, then I don't think football is for you. Stating you will win the superbowl and possibly coming up short is much more preferable to hiding behind a "process" or any of the other crap this franchise has dealt with over the years.

Ok, so a quick question. Rex said he wanted to win it all, he said thats his goal every year, and he expects to win a ring every year, thats the type of confidence he has. Is the year over? no? Oh, so he hasn't had a chance to win or not win the ring yet? Ok [personal attack deleted by mod - consider this a warning ] Your complaining that Rex hasnt won a ring yet this year, but nobody has yet, in case you forgot, the VLT is awarded in February. Then you bitch that making the playoffs isnt good enough, well jesus christ, you can't win a fucking ring if you arent in the god damn playoffs. Also just because you have lost faith and don't believe our team is good enough to win, doesn't mean they won't. So just go jump off a cliff. Rex has managed to get us to the playoffs in his first two years as a HC. Since we have only managed back to back playoff appearances 5 times in our history, I'm going out on a limb, and assuming he is the first coach we have had who has done that in our history. The guy was the fastest coach to 20 wins in Jets history. He made it to the AFCCG (first appearance since 98') in his first season with a rookie QB. He told us we would have the #1 defense his first year, and we did. He told us ground and pound, what did we do? lead the league in rushing his first year. Rex has delivered on so many promises and done so many things in the past 2 years, that I find it hard to make a list of things he said we would do and havent done yet. We haven't won a division (which btw, we have only won 4 times in our history) in the past 2 years. We havent made, or won a superbowl yet (1 year, with a PO appearance to play with still) what else hasn't he done of true significance? I'm failing to find any other big things...

Maybe you prefer Bruce Coslet, Pete Caroll (5-0 in the preseason, giant collapse in the regular season), Al Groh, or whoever...... I expect the Super Bowl. Man, you are one spoiled kid.
