Doesn't matter though as TIBS will defer to the future HOF'er no matter what anyway. Its not gonna matter how effective Greene is as long as LT is on the roster, LT is gonna start.
38 points is awful. the jets should ahve put up more... game became a shootout, and our offense lost. whats your excuse for the last 2 drives we could have won the game with? was that our defense?
Obviously it was brian's fault Cotch dropped that pass late and Dustin dropping the TD. Brian has got to copach them better to make sure they catch the ball
No need for an excuse. The offense needed to pick up the defense and didn't get the job done. The defense should be good enough to not be putting the offense in that spot with 34 points on the board. Football is a team game and trying to blame the loss on the offense or the defense is something that people with an agenda will do.
it was nice to see B.Smith finally throwing it out of the seminole....too bad he didn't connect. Need to see more throws from Smith going forward.
im not blaming the loss on anybody, im saying that the offense needs to be better. the defense sucked today too
No, but as long as TIBS is in charge of the offense, it falls on him when it fails no matter how the players perform. In crunch time, the offense didn't deliver and it doesn't matter who dropped what, the bottom line is Bears 38, Jets 34. Excuses don't mean squat. The players are responsible and the Coaches are responsible. I really don't care about the excuses but you obviously do so to each their own. The thing about excuses and passing the buck is that it never ends when nobody has to be held accountable.
Nothing to complain about this game aside from sticking with Tomlinson at the end when Greene should have been in. Other than that, we had two terrible drops and the fake punt can only be Rex's fault, none of which were Schottenheimer's fault.
Whats you're excuse for the third quarter? How about when you're up 21-10, the defense makes some stops instead of waiting until there is little time left down a TD against a strong D.
That's a big negative. He proved to everyone why they don't let him throw on that play. If he puts the ball where it was supposed to be Braylon walks in for a TD. Instead he throws it to the outside for an incompletion. Maybe take a shot during the playoffs if they are in a rough spot but the Brad Smith needs to throw more campaign should end with that crap throw.
The criticism is raining down on Schotty and then when the offense puts up a ton of points against a top defense on the road and it's the offenses' fault!?!? Just because they couldn't score on the last two drives. Wow, people on this board are completely ridiculous. The Defense has NO EXCUSE for playing like garbage today and losing the game. This was on the defense, the offense played great. If the defense even shows up the Jets win by 2 scores. This Schotty bashing is just fucking stupid as this point.
thank you i dont care about drops. a good coach plans for those sorts of things, and should ultimately be able to work around them
He put too much air under the ball and that comes from not throwing the ball more often. He made a bad throw and its not like we haven't seen our share of bad throws this season so far. Fact is, I'm more comfortable with Brad Smith at QB than either Brunnel or Clemens. I think Smith brings much more to the position than either of those guys.
We all kill Schotty more than anyone but he called a solid game. The Bears defense is definitely no joke and a lot of play calls today were superb. Partly due to Sanchez audibles as well but kudos to Schotty. If only we can put together a complete game for once. Been awhile......
the game was 24-17 at half. the jets got the ball with the score 21-17, with the ball at half, with 2:44 the offense put up 3 points between the two drives. even another field goal leaves us with a lead if the bears score. game could have been put away by the offense. game was extended because of loose d, and great playmaking by the bears. blame is placed on both sides of the ball. schotty continues to be a mediocre oc, with the occasional pretty good play mixed in with the absolutely god awful ones.
As are you. I'd love to see Mark Brunnel or Clemens come into a game, neither one of which has thrown a meaningful pass this season but according to you, either would be a better option than Brad Smith. Want to talk ridiculous?, read your own post and think about it. At least Brad Smith as smelled the field but can you say the same about your guys? I don't think so..
How many meaningful passes has Brad Smith thrown in his entire career in the NFL? He's not a quarterback.
Shottenjunior called a great game today - there were maybe a handful of calls I disagreed with but, in all fairness, there were a bunch of times were I yelled "No, don't run!" and then they got some decent yardage.
