we will probably end up 11-5 - in any other division we would be cruising prettily at the top of it - just our luck to be in with the team of the decade There is no "backing in" this year. Having said that I doubt we get as far as last year - our luck is well and truly used up by now.
KC loses the tiebreak vs. Colts. They lost to them earlier in the season. They both finish 10-6, Colts would be in at 3.
Sad to see fans trying to find that cloud in a playoff berth. Give me a fucking break and try to enjoy the ride.
Of course I'm not happy about the loss, but I can be happy about making the playoffs. Our 10 wins matter more than today's loss.
BTW, anyone unhappy to be in the playoffs, fuck you. Root for another team. It's very discouraging to score 34 and lose today, but we're in and if anything can make you fairweather fans happy, we made it to the AFCCG last year as the fifth seed.
How? We knocked off the current #1 and #2 seed during the regular season in the AFC, what makes you think this team can't go on a run in the playoffs?
^and how do u call this a horrible game. Ya we made some coaching mistakes, and D looked pretty bad, but they have played pretty well all season. I was happy with the way our O plated in a very close one against a great D. This loss left me with more confidence than some of our wins against Det and Hou.
No one is "unhappy" about being in the playoffs. After beating Pitt last week they had basically clinched barring a series of miracles/disasters depending on your POV. So excuse me for not being thrilled about something that was basically a foregone conclusion 10 minutes after a terrible terrible loss where the coaching staff and vaunted defense both looked completely incompetent.
Actually, the D was poor in the first seven or eight minutes and catastrophically awful in the third quarter. Apart from that it was pretty solid. It isn't without talent, but they were caught flatfooted and they were out-thought for a while. That's a much better problem to have than just being straight out shit - you can't fix a lack of talent in a couple of weeks, but you can get your gameplan right.
I'd say its about 80% sure. For us not to go to KC the following would need to happen 1) KC loses in week 17 and SD wins out (last 2 games) and Indy wins out (last 2 games). 2) KC loses and Indy wins out and SD loses 1 or both of their last 2 games. If #1 happens then we'd go to Indy or SD depending on that tiebreaker. If #2 happens we'd go to Indy. Pretty sure those are the two scenarios. We are locked into the 6th seed because of losing a tiebreaker to Baltimore.
KC is ridiculously overrated. Jets will beat KC easily. Go look at KC's schedule this year. Nothing but cupcakes.
plus we almost had a second bye between the t-giving game and the cheats and look how that worked out. i almost hope we dont rest anyone next week and just go full blast like the giants did in '07
I hate to say it but we were ridiculously overrated, given the way we are playing now. KC is going to be a tough game and you're joking yourself if you are thinking anything else. Um...if they lose.
