why? Brunell is a seasoned veteran who can win for us. Is rather hold Sanchez out this week than risk further injury.
Losing Sanchez and his 5th lowest rating in the league is not the end of the world. There are probably 10 others on the team that would hurt a lot more.
Sanchez has won us three games on his own. Looking at his rating isn't giving an honest assessment of his value to the team.
If he has a torn cartilage which will heal w/rest and which could get worse if he plays - then he should rest. Losing Sanchez for 1 game is not easy, but losing him for the playoffs would be worse. I would hope that Brunell is ready to go and that he can manage the game successfully. If he is a disaster in the first half you can bring in Sanchez or Clemens.
Today is a pretty important day in terms of Nacho starting Sunday. Practice has started and he's on the field. Hopefully he can chuck it. janesports Jane McManus I have witnessed zip on Sanchez' throws. Looks promising in preliminary moments of Jets practice. 39 seconds ago Favorite Retweet Reply
This is sounding promising. JennyVrentas Jenny Vrentas Sanchez threw right-handed during team reps in portion of practice open to media. Throws looked strong. #nyj 3 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply
I cant see Mark not playing sunday. Anyone read newsday and see what Schotty said about him? Schotty said Rex saw him early in practice before he was really warmed up and thats why his throws didnt have much zip on them but later in practice he looked good. If his practice goes well today and hes not swollen or anything around game time he will go.
Better yet, just go to the Jets website and watch Schotty's press conference from yesterday(This is where Newsday go the Schotty quotes from). From watching Schotty's press conference, it's pretty obvious that Sanchez is improving and should be a go come sunday.
Build a 28 point half time lead and let Sanchez sit on the sideline chowing down hot dogs the whole second half
