I disagree with them changing it after the fact, because giving him a nine-run changes so many things. For example, if Mendenhall had been given nine yards during the game, they may have run on the next play (I don't remember what they did, but if it was first and ten and they ran that's a different situation than running on 2nd and one, which changes the next play and play call, etc). But it's cool that the 100-yard streak is still alive, I guess.
Exactly. Even if it halts our streak, I'm against changing stats after the fact. Mistakes are part of the game.
I didnt really care about this, because I was just happy we got the W. The defense had to be happy when they heard about this, but personally it doesnt mean anything.
lol i'm gonna laugh if fantasy leagues update the stats and some people lose their games all of a sudden
Some leagues award a point for every 10 yards, so if a back finishes with 99 yards it only counts as 9 points.
I don't because he really should have only been credited for 9 in the books, regardless of what the refs called (1st down), the actually ref spot was acurate and only 9 yards - for some unknown reason they just awarded a first down. So if the original statistician gave him 10 yards, he was very much incorrect and inconsistent with even the officials spot on the field.
