Just glancing through the standings for the AFC wildcards. It looks like you are in pretty good shape for one of them with the other going to either PIT or BAL. Unless I'm missing something, unless you guys go 0-2 it looks like you should be in there. And even 0-2 it looks like you still might have a shot depending on what other teams do. Closing out against the Bills, it's highly doubtful that happens. I'm just trying to get a gauge on how "do or die" this one is for you guys. I'm expecting this one to be pretty low scoring w/ someone taking it by 3 or so.
I don't know if CHI is vulnerable to surprise onsides kicks or fake punts, but I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of both on Sunday if Westhoff believes he can be successful. It's one less opportunity for Hester.
i wouldn't call it do or die, but a win not only ensures a playoiff spot, it will also give the opportunity to let some of the players that are banged up some heal time in week 17 if need be against buffalo.
i'd say the players, coaches, and fans all want this win badly. it would put the jets at 7-1 on the road for the season, just the confidence that a wild card team going on the road needs for the playoffs.
Woody Page from Around the Horn just said Jets arent gonna win in Chicago anyways after thay finished discussing whether or not Sanchez should play.I use to like this guy!
I like Woody Page but I feel like theres something wrong with him. He knows sports but he just sounds like hes got a mild case of the crazies.
A mild case?lol That dude is a nut job! Just hate it when anyone automatically assumes we have no chance.
1- jets will max protect to ensure peppers is doubled no matter where he lines up. 2- with max protect, look for only 2 receivers (Braylon/Homes or Cotch) running wild finding holes in the intermediate 2-zone coverages. 3- lots of chip/dump offs to LT to slow up the pass rush. 4- greene will get most of the carries due to the hard playing surface. he's younger and he heals faster than LT. 5- IF we beat CHI (and we will), rex will 'spot rest' his vets for the buffalo game. you will see our rookies getting play time, espically at DB/RB.
especially two wins against top playoff teams. This team can do it. They're in every game minus one this year. And I think we all feel Cutler will throw picks in this game to Revis and Cro.
Forget what he says. He probably said the same thing about going into pittsburgh. The Jets will do their thing on the field good or bad. They can win this game no doubt about it. Lets go Jets get this done and clinch the post season on the road. 6-1 on the road lets make it 7-1 on the road. Road warriors baby fuck yeah!
Personally the reason I think we'll win is we need it more than they do and we're spectacular on the road this year.
Yeah, imagine Buffalo beating New England today and the Jets beating Chicago. The result would be the Jets entering Week 17 with a slight chance at homefield throughout the playoffs. hmy:
I feel real good about this game. I think the dogs come out hard and hungry in support of their coach. I think we contain Hester and they do not generate much on offense. I reallythink this is a game we do not give up a TD. Of course I don't think we score a lot either but enough to get it done. Bears are a lot like us in that people do not think they are as good as their record. Will the real 10-4 team please stand up. Jets 13 - Bears 9
