either you dont read much of his stuff or youre a fan because theres not a doubt in my mind whitlock is a racist
Has Whitlock stopped licking Herm Edwards' feet? His brother from a different mother sure flopped as an nfl head coach. At least he was the right race, though, according to Whitlock
As do others apparently. I think the nest shot and the conversation on the singles site is the most embarrassing for Rex and his wife. That said, he didn't break any laws and it is their business IMO. Unfortunately, that isn't true for many in our society. You know they are gonna dig for more of this stuff.
Yeah but I was adding to a post that was in response to somebody saying something along the lines of "at what point does Woody Johnson say enough is enough with Rex".
He can't fire him now. He has his team in better position to do something in the postseason than any in many years. I do think if the team were to go south, this might be used as a reason for them to drop him....
If we were 5-11 last year and 2-12 this year than sure. To even think that THIS is gonna lead to any action from the Jets is laughable. Like all things, in due time most ppl will forget this ever happened. Fans won't but who gives a shit about fans?
Ok first off, this is the NEW YORK Jets, we're going to get more media attention than some dinky-donk city like Detroit or Kansas City. Second, We've always played second fiddle to those cunts in Blue, Rex's boisterous personality has made us the team in NY for once. The Alosi thing wasn't really Rex's fault, and so what if he likes to talk well about his team, they are 10-4 and happen to be in the same division as the team with the best record in football right now. He may go a bit overboard with the public pump-up stuff but I prefer that to some Bellicheck 2.0 type coach. You speak like Rex causes all this drama, fact of the matter is, this is the first big thing that is 100% him (aside from him being the big-mouthed personality that he is). Braylon's stupidity, Alosi's brainfart, Westoffs big-mouth, how is that his fault? Despite all this nonsense we are one of the top teams in the league, to me that says A lot about a coach. Rex will have these guys fired up and ready to go for Sunday and we are gonna hunt us some Bear. And to compare this, which involves his wife of 20 years, to Tiger "I fuck everything that moves" Woods is just laughable and downright absurd.
The Jets always have tons of media attention. In atlanta you've got actual players coming off the bench to trip guys on the sidelines on video - and there isn't much media attention at all. But if some S&C coach does the same thing in NY its a national media event for a week.
I have no use for Whitlock, though usually guys are anti-Jets WHEN they're at ESPN, not after they leave. Just read how smug that dick Cimini's piece is...here's the lead: http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=5951539 "FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- In Woody Johnson's mind, everything is wonderful with the New York Jets. His football team is immersed in yet another off-field controversy, but the owner insisted Thursday that the perception of the Jets as an out-of-control franchise is being overblown." At what point will a Jet give him the Richard Todd/Steve Serby treatment? I know Cimini is trying to provoke that sort of reaction, so he can bash the team even more, but he deserves to be picking up his teeth off the floor like Scrabble tiles off a game board.
So you don't think Whitlock believes that racial preferences should be considered to remedy past injustice? Pointing that out is racist? You know what . Fuk you. You don't get to call me a racist you ignorant scumbag.
Why is this news??? It has nothing to with football and he didn't do anything illegal, its his personal life. For all we know Belicheck likes to get spanked while his wife wears a Parcells mask. All the other incidents I can undertsand but this shouldn't have made headlines.
I've read most of the posts in this thread, but apologies if this has been brought up already. If, God forbid, we play poorly on Sunday, Rex is going to get crucified and the haters are gonna have a field day saying the team is distracted.
Wait until Tony Dungy weighs in on this one. If the Jets can rally behind Ryan and come up with a big win Sunday against Chicago, this will fade. Of course if they lose, the circus continues.
