I'm just telling you my reaction DURING Taylor's play. I'm not trying to justify any move. You say they were up 14...well it could've been cut to 7 ON THAT PLAY. Of course, it could've been picked and brought to the house for 6...of course, we're playing with hypotheticals...but, with Tom Brady in that situation...the game was far from over. But yeah, I'm done, because you are truly like talking to a brick wall. Instead of accepting my opinion and agreeing to disagree, you'll go on a rant about how I'm dumb for thinking the Patriots had a chance to win.

when you consider that all we gave up to get JT was a choking dime a dozen kicker, it was a great acquisition

It's not the sack #s, it's the lack of pressure. I thought he'd have many more sacks than 4 but I can live w/ 4 sacks if he was harrassing QBs and he is not doing that.

14 points is a big lead against any QB w/ 4 mins to play. The game is not over but the chances were pretty good we were winning even had they scored there. Evereyone is acting like had he not sacked him NE was guaranteed to score there, they still needed to finish that drive just to pull w/in a TD. It was a good play but it did not win us that game like some are saying. he has one true big play all year and that was the safety.

Come on junc. Let's say for argument's sake they don't get the sack, and Brady scores a TD on the next play. Suddenly it's a seven point lead with over three minutes left. You would still feel like the game was over?

    That sack sealed the game.

1st and 10, on the Jets 16, right after the Jets had scored to take a two score lead, the Patriots drove right down the field to the 16 with 4:15 left. The Jets Taylor has a sack and forced fumble to end the best drive the Pats had in the second half. I can agree with the notion that Taylor has not been great, but to say this wasn't a big play. Now that is just arguing for the sake of arguing.

I think J.T was a good pick up for the Jets during the off season and it has paid off!

If JT doesn't force the saftey the steelers who with all 3 timeouts left and easily marched down the field with over a minute left could have kicked a feild goal and tied the game sending it to overtime at home or going onsides kick putting pressure on our struggling offense to make a play possibly turning the ball over the mysterious 5 point lead forced them into going for a TD not a field goal onsides field goal.....Football IQ??

Now...... The first Pats matchup? If you're a Jets fan you know that we need to get after Tom Brady no matter what and the man got a strip sack to put our offense on the field in victory formation.

You are assuming they score, we don't know that. They may have, it may also have taken another minute. They hadn't moved the ball all 2nd half and then we expect them to score 2 TDs in 4 minutes?

The sack sealed the game but if he doesn't make that play our odds of winning are still incredibly high. people are making it sound like if he doesn't make the play we are losing. NE had to score TWO TDs and then would have needed a 3rd TD, games like the Giants collapse the other day are very rare and it would have taken a similar collpase to blow that game against NE.

You are assuming NE scores, Pitt went from their 8 to our 10- did they score that TD? NE still had to score TWO TDs and then add more pts in OT to beat us.

You are assuming that final drive plays out exactly the same way, Rex calling plays and bruce Arians calling plays changes w/ a 5 pt game vs. a 3 pt game so we have no clue if they move the ball down te field as easily and kick a FG.

W/ that said jason's safety was obviously a huge play- the first truly big play he has made all year.

You keep discounting the play, I am not talking about the Pitt game here. Totally diffenent scenario. NE was on the Jets 16 yard line with four minutes left. Pitt was on our ten with what 16 seconds left?

You are just grasping at straws to suit your feeling that the sack was not a big play. It was. For all your gushing about Brady, and given the Jets history, that game was teetering from done to "wait a minute, now the Pats are in the redzone and may score" at that moment.

Brady has the 23 4th quarter comebacks. That's not assumption, that's a fact. There's no way of knowing if the Pats would come back, but considering Brady was in the red zone with his timeouts, the odds were certainly increased that the Pats could win.

    I'm sure you'll disagree.

We were up by 14 points vs. NE, and only 5 vs. Pitt. We were in a much worse situation against Pitt than we were against NE. They needed to finish off that drive w/ a TD, get the ball back and score another TD just to tie the game.

Brady is the best of his generation but the odds were heavily stacked against him in that situation. Was it possible? sure but not likely. Again, you guys are trying to make this play bigger than it is by assuming if he doesn't make that play we lose. The play sealed the game but if it doesn't happen the chances are very good that we win anyway so it was not a big play the way Sunday's play was a big play which directly affected the outcome late in a close game. making a play in a 3 pt game is very different than making a play in a 14 pt game.

Look through his history(or any great QBs history) and you'll see alot more failures. It's like Michael Jordan taking a GW shot, we see all the highlights of the made ones but we don't see the tons that he missed. To win that game would have taken an incredible comeback, it COULD have happened but it asn't a sure thing like you guys are making it out to be.

LOL no one is saying that if Jason Taylor didn't make the sack that the Patriots surely would have won! We're saying it was possible.

I think the reason no one likes talking to you is that you argue unknowns too often. It is unknown whether or not the Patriots would have won the game. But, factually, Jason Taylor stepped up and made a huge game WHEN THE GAME WAS CLEARLY NOT DECIDED IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM, which you yourself admit by saying the comeback was possible!

Just like (not to beat a dead horse) you argue relentlessly about other unknowns..for instance, WHY the coaching staff hasn't played Joe McKnight...you are SURE that it is because they don't have confidence in him when really no one can know this.

So in other words....nothing matters unless junc says it matters.

Comebacks don't matter, winning shots don't matter, sacks and fumbles don't matter. All because "they missed some".

why you guys continue to argue with junc is beyond me...he just does it to live up to his reputation as most argumentative poster, i mean, no one can be that cement headed in reality right?

You guys are saying he won us that game w/ that sack as if that sack doesn't happen we were losing.

The McKnight thing is common sense, if he earned the trust of the coaches he would have been playing. Why else wouldn't he be playing? They are in the business to win games, if guys aren't ready to play and help them win they won't play and they aren't going to sit a guy if he is ready to play.

They matter but you guys, in your desperate attempt to try to make th taylor signing look like a good one, are actuing like it's a guarantee. the odds were heavily in our favor whether he fumbled or not, whether he sacked him or not.

It boggles my mind that people that follow this game every day just do not understand it. It's not that difficult guys, Sunday's play was huge up just 3 late in the game, the pats play was a good play but it was not a huge play in that game. It can be argued his safety the other day was the biggest play of the game, his sack against Brady was probably the 10th biggest play in that game.

I get that everyone is trying to justify the signing and i am rooting for him, I want more plays like he made on sunday but so far the decision to let feely walk and sign taylor has not ben a good one for us no matter how you guys try to justify it.
