Jets Week 16 Playoff Clinch Scenarios

    NYJ clinch a playoff spot if any of these scenarios happen in Week 16:

    1) NYJ (10-4) win/tie vs. CHI (9-4)

    OR

    2) JAX (8-6) loss/tie vs. WAS (5-9)

    OR

    3) IND (8-6) loss/tie @ OAK (7-7)

    Seems to me, Option #1 is the most likely to occur, but none of those is a gimme.

    Best case senario

    Week 16:
    NYJ win vs. CHI
    Pats loss vs. Bills

    Week 17:
    Jets win vs. Bills
    Pats loss vs. Phins

    I also read another option would be Chargers and Chiefs both losing.

    Oakland has been playing better. They tooled SD a coupe of weeks ago.

    I'd still like to see Brady get MCL'd the next game so we didn't have to worry about him in the playoffs.

    I can see us heading to Foxboro for AFCCG. That won't be pretty.

    I read somewhere that the only way the Jets miss the playoffs at this point is if the Jets lose out and the Colts & Jags win out.

    Yes, exactly why the three possible clinching scenarios the OP made. A loss by either one or a win clinches it.

    If the Bears win tonight don't they clinch their division?


    I just checked and yes they do..


    So I wonder if they would rest guys and start em week 17 since they don't have a bye to get them back in the groove.

    Are you sure about this? I don't think this is correct.
    If we don't win, we still need to worry about SD and KC no matter what happens to Jax or Indy. No??
    But let's just win so it doesn't matter!
