or that... very undisciplined, and that blame falls directly on the Head Coach... good thing I'm wearing my fire suit, I'm about to be flamed for saying something about Rex ... :breakdance:hmy:
I liked what they did against the Texans, send Holmes in motion and if its man run the slant route. The Steelers corners are not that great - at all. Its Polamalu (however the F you spell it) who picks up their slack. Sanchez being sacked, yes a few of the sacks were just the O-lines fault. The other Sanchez had ALL the time in the world....throw it away instead of risking the fumble.....
I don't think anyone has a problem with "concern". That's a reasonable reaction. There's a huge difference between having reasonable concerns about the team and whining and complaining, and giving up on the season with three games to go as if the outcome has already been determined. And speaking only for myself ... I can live with that if that's what people want to do. But if you chose to get off the bus while we're 9-4, then get off and stay off until next season. We don't need you hopping back on if/when we make the playoffs.
the steelers game is the toughest - weather is calling for wind snow and cold. It will come down to defense and turnovers...if the Jets turn the ball over they are dead...the Steelers offense gets a lift with miller coming back and Troy is playing good ball on that D. The Chicago game we have a great shot -- they - like the jets - could easily have 7 loses..just need to pressure cutler, force some, mistakes, and the offense needs to do some work. The team has the POTENTIAL to win all 3 games, but the offense has to get some of their mojo back and fast.
I doubt any of the people you are referring to, whether that includes me or not, are not going to watch the games and root and hope for a win. The question instead seems to be what is to be expected, and what the perception is about what underlies those expectations, whether optimistic or less so. I would love to be optimistic. Maybe the players will reach down and find a way to reverse the recent trends. But maybe they won't.
One thing I forgot to mention in my op for this game was Hester. Weatherford, with the weather and field will be big. If he can pin him to the sideline or get some lift, our Punter will play a big part.
Well, I was 50% on this one... Cutler did make the mistake, Weatherford did punt it exactly like he should... But, one thing I thought we'd do that we didn't: Forte absolutely killed us...that was the #1 thing we had to do and failed. Also Cutler's Receivers made plays when our DB's failed badly.... AORN, we are not in...so don't know if game 3 will come into play
