Rex is THE worst HC in the NFL when it comes to usage of timeouts... c'mon you fucking idiot!!! And if he delegated the offensive TOs to Schotty he is even more of an idiot (but I don't think so).

Problem is it's not just this game... and he also is VERY suspect in challenging plays... shit shitty shit

That was pretty fucking retarded at the end of the half. Any 8 year old kid playing Madden could have done that better.

That was beyond retarded. I also think Sanchez should have called the TO there himself. It's common sense to call the TO.

It has nothing to do with use of TO's....there was 29 seconds left, you have 2 TO's, you are going to use them BOTH on every f****** play.

There was no 'decision' to be made. Call the F****** TO.

Sanchez was told not to apparently because he was looking at the sideline.

Same garbage last week on the spike.

    yeah that was bad.

Not something I get too mad about because I don't think it cost the Jets anything but they should have had another play or two if they use the timeout correctly.

Rex's time management has made Herm Edwards look like a master of time management

Do you think it was on Schotty? I still don't understand... I just hope it is so that's another reason to fire him!

If you remember 2007, the only reason why the Patriots were able to go 16-0 was because Rex Ryan called a time out and gave the Pats a second chance at the end of the Pats-Ravens game.

I had to fix it in the other thread. The timeouts are on the head coach. Rex get ALL the blame when talking about usage of timeouts.

Rex's time management skills have not improved an iota since last year. It is maddening to watch precious seconds tick away and he stops the clock with 3 seconds left?!

Yes, because he has total control of the O.

We are either going for a FG or Kneeling the ball.
We have 2 TO's at our disposal and get Yards on the 1st play, right there it's his decision.

There is absolutely NO REASON to take a RISK with NO REWARD. It makes ZERO SENSE

I'm one that believes that it all starts w/ the HC...so I'll agree but u know and I know that Shottenfrued has total control of the O.

The end of the half was brutal. But Sanchez has to take the lead on that IMO

I think the end of the game was just as bad, you need to keep the clock moving and force the Steelers to use timeouts. Because of the last two series on O, at the end the Steelers alot more time than they should have.

Who did Herm make 'time manager coach'? Maybe Rex should let Westy be in charge, he's by far and away our best football mind, as once again our special teams outplayed the oppenent, and was the difference for us today! Gameball-Westy, Brad Smith, and Weatherford!

Sanchez might have called a more timely and prudent TO, but Rex and Schotty should have done so even more so than Sanchez. I mean, how can Rex possibly defend not calling one? He can't; his timeout selection (and play-challenging) have sucked this year. Given how precious points have been for the Jets, why not treat the end of the first half as if it were the 4th quarter when you have decent field position?!

Aside from our (overall) crappy 3rd-down defense and over-sagging prevent coverage today, hats off to the ENTIRE team!

    J! E ! T! S!
