I'll take a Paul Hackett offense with Rex yelling for the deep ball every now and then. Hackett would know how to take care of a QB like Sanchez. The same way Arians groomed Big Ben.
You know what, I had to think about this for a minute, and I agree 100%. I FKNG hated Hackett for the way he took Vinny and tried to turn him into a WC QB, but that was the FO stupidity more than anything. But, he would do a much better job developing Sanchez than schitthead. Schitthead is going to ruin Sanchez.
Vinny was a vertical guy, he had a howitzer for an arm and a HOF RB behind him. But Sanchez's experience level calls for being a game manager until he gets bored being one, and then he can be given more responsibility.
Agree, that was my point. I will never forgive Badway for taking a team that could have won a SB or two, setup for a dominating vertical passing game, and a very solid 3-4 defense, and turning it into a WCO and a cover 2 defense by bringing in Herm and Hackjob. That PISSED ME OFF! Now we have Rex and Schitt, who clearly do not see eye to eye on how to run an offense. And the result is destroying the young QB.
The funny thing is, I don't think Rex particularly likes him either, I've heard that every conversation they've had is cold in nature, but that begs the question as to why he keeps him around
Rex rarely brings him up by name, which seems like kind of a slight. What really is there to like about schitty schotty bang bang? He seems like a fucking tool, everyone gets on Rex for talking so much (myself included sometimes), but at least he isn't out there saying what a damn good coach he is after a couple of atrocious performances.
