Holy gloom and doom... yeah we're tied, but it's going better than it has in what seems like FOREVER.
The offense has looked alright so far--they've gotta punch in a touchdown, but they're moving the ball against maybe the best defense in football. Rex and Pettine deserve the scorn today, it's their unit that's not pulling its weight.
Yes and No - Schotty is the one on the headset with Sanchez and it is obvious that he told Sanchez not to call the TO. None of us know, what conversation Schotty had with Rex, but if Rex deferred to Schitty then Rex is still at fault cause he is the HC. Mark needs to be a leader and say FU to them and call the TO anyway.
Well, along those lines, how about letting him have an option pass play from the Wildcat? We run every single time B. Smith is back there. They had him throw during last year's playoffs and it was a huge play. No need to save it. Let him throw, let other teams at least consider that they have to defend the pass with B. Smith behind center. It may give us some yards and it will definitely prevent teams from putting 9 men in the box as soon as Smith lines up at QB.
we should run some no huddle here take the playcalling away from that asshole from florida on the sideline
would love to not get a holding call when the jets are knocking on the door. i am at a loss. this season has been so manic-depressive. and the big red bullseye on the jets doesnt help.
this all the way. Our offense wasnt coming out this week and scoring 30 points after all the struggles. But we have moved the ball well on 2 of our 3 real drives. We haven't turned it over, and we were winning the field position battle until the we allowed 4 3rd down conversions which allowed Pitt to go 96 yards for a scoring drive of about 8 minutes. The defense can't get off the field, while the offense is moving the ball. It's going to translate to points. But it won't matter if the D can't get off the field early in drives.
