McDaniels for OC? Why would you want a coach who was taught to cheat?

    'good at what I do'

If by that he means making a talented offense look completely terrible then yea, I'd say he's excellent

I kinda figured it was Sanchez who decided to spike the ball. Turns out it was Schotty? That's disappointing, you'd think the coach would have a better plan.

Schotty - win the next two games and prove us all wrong.

There's only one kind of coach who needs to say things like this, and it ain't the kind Schotty's talking about.

I'll leave it to others to decide who is at fault for what, but on a purely factual basis the statement "We've had a lot of success here" is comical. In the 5 years he's been OC, the Jets' offense has ranked 25th, 26th, 16th, 20th, and 12th in yards, and 18th, 25th, 9th, 17th, and 18th in points. That is not "a lot of success." In fact, it's a lot of mediocrity, with some failure thrown in.

Looks like Schott's got a little bit of Rex Ryan in him. Only difference is Ryan is a decorated defensive coordinator. While Schotty may be respected and well liked around the league he doesn't have the track record/resume Ryan has.

Thank you. In each of the Schotty threads, I've been eagerly awaiting some #s from you.

And this is what I (along with others) have been complaining about, and I think it's most telling: after 5 years, after different regimes, after different players, there aren't any changes in the complaints; at this point, they're roots.

Not to call out Junc, but he - and people like him - will create circumstantial excuses for the Offenses' deficiencies under Schotty, but the bottom line is, Schotty has had plenty of time to prove himself and improve upon his weaknesses, and neither of those have happened yet. When is enough enough?

We won those games in spite of Schotty, not because of him. When we break huddle, I can usually call the play 9-10 times, I'm not some football genius, just a fan that understands patterns. If I can figure out what we are running, you damn well know sure that some DC who studies film for hours a day knows exactly what we are running. If we don't have a couple huge plays from individuals towards the end of games, we are like 7-6, not 9-4.

If Schotty doesn't go, it will always be SOJ.

In fairness, he has never had a QB. The one year he got a crappy version of Favre he turned in his only top ten ranking in points scored. Other then that he has had Pennington, Clemens, and the early years of Mark Sanchez. What do you think makes these top offenses so good?
