Cashman signs a catcher they don't need and Mark Prior.....are you fucking kidding me? This is his response to being a total failure this winter. Next he will sign the ghosts of Ruth, Mantle and Gehrig. Enjoy him while you can.

I don't think Cashman had anything to do with Lee going to Philadelphia, that's where he wanted to go. We need a catcher Cervelli is useless and Posada can't throw anymore. Prior is a low risk with some potential its a good signing.

Even if the Giants crash and burn, Cain is going nowhere. At least I hope not, my favorite player :D

Ken Rosenthal reported earlier that he's looking for a 2-year deal worth $12M ... no unreasonable but still steep fora set-up man

Kerry said a long time ago he wanted to be a closer in 2011, not a set up man. There was never a thought of him returning.

Are you retarded? You think the Yankees have an edge in a 7 game series with the Phillies?4 games against Halliday and Lee. I wont even say the rest. This is the complettely, completely ridiculous!

Saying anybody has an edge over the Phillies is a little ridiculous right now. Obviously we need to see how the season plays out but there isn't a lineup in baseball that can hit that pitching rotation.

How many teams actually live up to their hype on paper? I don't mean that as an attack I'm actually curious it seems like they usually fall short but then again that's probably just how the media portrays it.

The Phillies have built a great team there. Barring injury, the 2011 NL East race is already over.

    According to Pinstripe Alley:

Possible Yankees targets include Fausto Carmona and Carlos Zambrano. Russell Martin's contract has incentives for games played. If he plays 120 games he earns $1.4 million. The Yankees still believe Pettitte is leaning towards retirement.

idk but this one will. Maybe their offense won't be that great but that pitching staff has four aces.

Yeah, I can't remember a better rotation ever. The closet thing I can remember is the mid 90s Braves Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz. But this team is definitely more stacked.

Depending obviously on the cost I don't think Carmona would be a bad move. Zambrano is the one I would have that reaction to..

That'd be a good addition to the pen, as long as he ain't closing.

I'd also be fine with him closing for Tampa. Guy can't handle that role.
