I know that ESPN has their Bowlmania, and many of you have pools. But I have a lot to learn about football, especially college football. BUT I couldn't resist. Here are my predictions: 12/18 Bowls: Bringham Young over UTEP Northern Illinois over Fresno State Troy over Ohio 12/21 Bowl: Louisville over Southern Miss 12/22 Bowl: Boise State over Utah 12/23 Bowl: San Diego State over Navy 12/24 Bowl: Hawaii over Tulsa 12/26 Bowl: FIU over Toledo 12/27 Bowl: Air Force over Georgia Tech 12/28 Bowls: West Virginia over NC State Missouri over Iowa 12/29 Bowls: Maryland over East Carolina Illinois over Baylor Oklahoma State over Arizona 12/30 Bowls: SMU over Army Kansas State over Syracuse North Carolina over Tennessee Nebraska over Washington 12/31 Bowls: Clemson over South Florida Miami over Notre Dame Georgia over UCF South Carolina over Florida State 1/1 Bowls: Texas Tech over Northwestern Florida over Penn State Alabama over Michigan State Mississippi State over Michigan TCU over Wisconsin Oklahoma over Connecticut 1/3 Bowl: Stanford over Virginia Tech 1/4 Bowl: Ohio State over Arkansas 1/6 Bowl: Miami(OH) over Middle Tennessee 1/7 Bowl: LSU over Texas A&M 1/8 Bowl: Pittsburgh over Kentucky 1/9 Bowl: Nevada over Boston College 1/10 Bowl: Auburn over Oregon Now that I have upset 35 school's worth of alum... What say you? If your interested and have time lets see your list!
Opps! That must have been a typo, I hope I didn't offend you Mr. Electric. Let me fix that. NORTHERN ILLINOIS over Fresno State And I even like Fresno State. You beat Idaho (my alma mater) and gave Nevada almost more then they could handle... I was pulling for ya! But without Lindsay, Knox, and Salinas the trip back to the smurf turf does not look promising to me. Perhaps on this year's second trip back to Boise you'll find the endzone.
You sure know what you're talking about...those are some HUGE losses. What retarded bowl preview gave you that garbage info? Kyle Knox is the only meaningful player that's suspended and he's not even starter. Matt Lindsey is a sixth string receiver. Daniel Salinas is a special teams linebacker. Now, I don't know much about Northern Illinois' program this year. I know they have ten wins and that's impressive, but their coach left them and he took most of his staff with him to Minnesota. ...doesn't sound too good. (FTR, I was joking around at first and I think it'll be a pretty good game. Fresno should win though.)
Ok, I fucked myself right there. I was trying to grab onto something more tangible than "because I said so" and stole that tidbit... I have only watched the BSU vs. Fresno game from start to finish this year the rest has been from portions, highlights, and second hand. Jerry Kill is the bigger loss... You called me out correctly. FYI got it from here: scores.espn.go.com/ncf/preview?gameId=303520278 (I'd link that, but my newbie ass needs more quality posts like this one. must copy n' paste and add http: for now.) Anyways, Mr. E any thoughts on the other 34 Bowl games, or is this thread as hopeless as Fresno State's chance of winning?
Honestly man, I'll watch as many bowls as possible, but the only bowls I care about are the Humanitarian and Chick-fil-A Bowls. My predictions: TCU is gonna get destroyed by Wisconsin. Oklahoma will prove that UCONN didn't deserve a BCS Bowl Bid. This thread sucks. Fresno State and South Carolina will win their games. Auburn will in it all.
The Auburn - Oregon game was a great way to end the season. Wanted to see how I did, so here is my recap: DarkRed = Missed Pick DarkGreen = Correct
