Rex better not turn the defense against him.

    Parcells?

Well how about Bill Belickick? He's always been considered a Defensive Master. He has a chance to be the Head Coach of the Greatest Shows on any turf (point total) . 2007 & 2010.

All Mr. Pool had to do is pick up the ball and he is off to the races for a TD.

Instead he tried to run before he has control of the ball and falls down.

7 points left on the field - The difference between winning and losing.

The only way this season could implode further for the Jets is if Rex can alienate the only guys who are playing reasonably well.

    FANTASTIC

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Rex criticising the D after yesterdays game is baffling.

Defense played a hell of a game. I said it before, the Dolphins didn't win this game, we lost it. Inaccurate passes, and dropped balls led to this loss. It had nothing to do with our D. Our D, coupled with their poor performance, gave our offense several opportunities to take this thing over, but they failed and failed miserably.

very disheartening outing by Sanchez and crew...

Everyone's emotional after a game, it's not going to be an issue, the players love Rex.

i think they will get over it. he expects alot out of the defense, he expects them to win games. he expects them to turn em over and score.

he is definitely way off base blaming them but i dont think that is what he is doing. i think he is letting them know he expects them to pick up the offense when they suck a fat one and win the game by themselves. he believes this defense is that good.

I think this is being overblown

Rex said "the D did what we expected them to do"

its the fact the quote came from Ellis that worries me. the guy leads by example and plays angry. and he never says much so when hes saying Rex made the comments im sure they came off camera.

that and i think this is all an effort to coddle sanchez. meanwhile sanchez takes ALL the blame. go figure.

It is idiotic. In a way though it doesn't surprise me because I think that the defense is the only thing that Ryan concerns himself with.

Every week we make the same retarded mistakes that never get fixed. Maybe Ryan should figure out why instead of just blaming the D, I think that's why they're called Head Coach right?

Why do you do that? I know Belichik is a great coach! I'm a Pats fan, and I know he has his hand on every aspect of the team.

What does that have to do with my Parcells comment? This is a Jets board and I'm making a Jets reference.

I think it's definitely an issue. He's been doing this all season. When the offense looks bad, he blames the defense. I don't get it. Leave the defense alone and fix what's broke you jackwagon.

I'm not trying to call Ellis a liar but this quote feels weird coming from someone who pretty much knows he is not going to be on the team next season.

The Jets saying that it is team policy to let older players finish out their contracts is league speak for "Be thankful we didn't already cut you." he'd probably be the least receptive to criticism given that situation.

Then again he also had a Hell of a game yesterday as well which would be reason enough. Either way, Rex has a hand to share in this as well. After seeing Bart Scott fail miserably at covering Welker against NE most would think that they would have made sure he was never lined up against another WR in the slot again. Especially not their #1 WR.

Sorry for the late edit. Updating on the Metro does not make for timely responses.

On TMKS today, Rex said the defense was terrific.

I'd imagine he told the whole team they were shitty and some of the defensive guys took exception to not being excluded from that.

    Come on!

Wow...... You are out of your mind. It was wet, if he doesnt recover the fumble because he was trying to run, everyone would rip him for trying to run.

The problem yesterday was the offense, everything about it. The O-Line, the Running game, the passing game. EVERYTHING OFFENSE.

All Mr. Holmes had to do was hold onto a pass while wide open in the endzone.

All Mr. Sanchez had to do was put some accuracy on his passes.

All Mr. Keller had to do was act like he plays in the NFL and make one tough catch.

Criticizing Pool for ONLY being able to dive on a loose ball is asinine. He made a great play on a loose ball, tried to get up and run with it and lost his footing on some wet turf. Every defensive player from Pop-Warner/PAL on up is taught to make sure you have the ball first and foremost. He tried to get up, lost his footing, and went down and secured the ball. The fact that he was even to hop up again before the offense could touch him down was a testament to his effort. What a moronic post.

I guess he was perfectly fine with how the offense performed.
