Worst poll ever with even worse options. I cant wait until 3 years from now when everyone eats their words about Sanchez. Believe it or not its incredibly difficult to be a qb in this league. Sanchez has the work ethic along with the athletic ability to be great in the future. Patience is a virtue and it would be great to win a superbowl now but in the long run we will all be happy we drafted Mark.
It's been a revolving door on TGG since he was drafted. After his first 3 weeks people were saying how amazing he is...then he struggles and everyone says he should be benched and is a bust....then he plays well again and he's everyone's hero...then has a bad game and we see Sanchez sucks threads everywhere. After the playoffs everyone is back on his bandwagon saying how awesome he is....then after the Baltimore game it's back to "sanchez is a bust, he sucks" threads. He then throws 8 TD's and 0 inteceptions and he's the next Joe Montana...has one bad game against the Packers and no one likes him anymore. ..leads us to 3 straight clutch wins, is now our legit franchise QB for the next 10 years!...then has a few bad games and everyone thinks he is terrible again. It's sad how many people don't understand how he is young and is expected to struggle at times like all young QB's do........just be patient so you can enjoy it later.
Aren't you only like 18? Its weird You're one of the most level headed posters on the board consistently. Pretty damn funny too
Exactly. Everything worthwile is worth waiting for. People are lazy and expect win championships every year and if you dont then everyone is a bust or must go.
If you want instant gratification then you should find a new hobby because sports are not for you. Not saying that to you but to whoever.
I still think he's going to be great, he's in his second year and with that comes inconsistency. He's shown serious flashes of brilliance and it's only a matter of time IMO.
In two years Mark Sanchez will have a Super Bowl ring and everyone will be calling him Mark Brandchez because of all his commercials. I will then bump this thread.
What if they call him Mark Brandchez for Mark Brunell and Mark Sanchez meaning Brunell led the team to the superbowl with Sanchez on the bench? edit: posts like these make me wish there was a delete post option
He will be fine. When the pressure is on him, he performs well. Right now he's still a kid and makes poor decisions every so often. At 24 he's doing pretty well.
He's on pace to have a top 4 QB win total in first 3 seasons. I expect great things, including Super Bowl rings. Can't see poll on phone
It's hilarious that people think that he's going to be a bust because he's inconsistent now. He played in 17 college games. Comparatively, Sam Bradford who's less than a year younger than Sanchez played in 28. Third year is the year for QBs. If he's still looking this pouty and retarded this time next year, then we can worry. But as of right now, compared to after his 13th start last year: 2010: 2852 yds, 16 TDs, 12 Ints 2009: 2275 yds, 12 TDs, 20 Ints His pass pct hasn't improved, but he's also throwing more passes and has had a shit ton of drops. Like I said, if it's like this in week 13 next year, we're in trouble. But at the end of the day, this team's Super Bowl is just opening. We have young, key pieces locked up. Another good off season by Tanny & Co and we're right back in the thick of things. Not to mention that we're 9-4 THIS year and can still turn this around, make the playoffs and make a run. I'm sick of the doomsdayers.
He's still so young and inconsistent that it's just very hard to know what this guy is going to become down the road. The one thing I'll say is I am very dissapointed in his recent struggles. I really figured he would gain tremendous confidence and momentum from his 4th quarter and overtime heroics in the Houston and Cleveland games. And let's be honest here, he has been awful ever since. His performance yesterday was one of the worst of his very young career, IMO. And as positive as I have been about him throughout this season, the bottom line is, Sanchez has been the starting quarterback for an offense that has failed to score a touchdown in FOUR different games. That's an entire quarter of an NFL season.
