Really though, what was he going to say anyway? "We gotta get better" kind of sums it up.

I believe the "footwork" thing with Mark that he's talking about is (the one play that stands out with me) was the one where Sanchez was throwing it while off-balance and falling backward. Not even throwing it off the wrong foot... a really bad decision.

In my mind, his decision-making yesterday was even worse than his "poor mechanics" that Rex is talking about. Mechanics is one thing, but he was flat-out making some really horrendous, rookie-type, bad decisions.

He looks broken. He looks like he's out of ideas and energy.

I have an idea for a great place to start, publicly fire the retarded needledick who tried to trip a dolphins player. Leaving it up to the league? You fuckin pussy, Rex.

For starters, I would have liked to hear something along the lines of "I've expressed my dissatisfaction with Schitty, and he knows that he's going to have to step up his game or else"

Rex doesn't employ anyone, he's just an employee. How does the decision that Tannenbaum and Woody take make Rex a pussy?

enrage? He's probably doing cartwheels inside his head not having to talk about the mess on the field.

I guess that's one way to look at it. The fact that he had to spend one ounce of energy on that shit is annoying to me. There are many other things his energy needs to be devoted to right now. I hope Rex punches him and the entire offense in the face.

The first guy he should punch in the face is Santonio if he does that gay first down celebration again.

Yeah, single out Schotty. He was responsible for all the problems.

    Smart move.

I agree, but I would but schotty more at 90% responsible. Sanchez played poorly, but with the right gameplan would have played much better

So the thing with Sanchez "being pulled" is not quite settled in my mind. Ryan was point-blank asked if he had talked to Sanchez today about his statement after the game and he kinda pulled a "Well.. not really but we gotta improve..." So the answer is, I assume, "No."

So he didn't talk to Mark about what he said at thepodium last night. And this is not good IMO, because now we have a rookie QB still wondering exactly what the hell is going on around here. "Am I REALLY the starting QB or am I not?" He's going to be looking over his shoulder now, IMO, despite sayihng last night that he knows he "gives us the best chance of winning."

Having your rookie QB hear about "being pulled" is not exactly a confidence-booster. This kid needs to be built up today and talked to, not left hanging. This is not good. Sanchez looked like a whipped puppy last night and now he's gotta face Pitts with this shit hanging in the wind and the HC says this and then doesn't call him in to discuss it? WTF?

He said explicitly that he had told Sanchez he had to get better and had discussed the footwork problems. I'm guessing that rather than explain anything to Mark he ripped him a new asshole and didn't want to necessarily discuss that in public.

This Sanchez thing is the most important thing that comes out of this presser. It's unresolved. Ryan can't be saying that after the game.. that he considered it (and that it wasn't the first time he had considered it) and then today he's saying that he was "honest" about the way he felt.. I mean WTF? And themn today you don't have a talk with your rookie QB after saying this?

So when were you "honest?" When you said it last night or today at the PC when you say you though it over and now you still think he gives us the best chance. I mean, just don't say this shit in the first place if you know what's good for you, because now you've got a rookie QB who is already beside himself with what went wrong yesterday and he's gotta prepare for Pitts and Palomalu ion his face all day with that hanging over his head. He's gonna be a freaking disaster on Sunday in the self-confidence dept.

All Rex said was he THOUGHT about pulling Chez, but didn't because he gives us the best chance to win.

Jesus why is this becoming such a huge deal?

If Sanchez has a pair, he's going to use this as motivation to go kick ass on Sunday. If he's going to be a little self-confident bitch about it, then we may be in trouble.

There is no good reason to call him out in public if you're able to convey it effectively behind closed doors. It might make Jets fans happy but it won't make Schotty smarter or harder working, it won't make the team more loyal, it will create dissension and an ugly working environment, it will encourage finger pointing by others who will take the cue from Ryan, it will undercut Schotty's authority, and it will make other coaches and players less loyal to Ryan.

Um... I don't know. Because he stunk up the field maybe?

You did watch the game yesterday, right? A couple of dropped balls aside, he was spraying the ball promiscuously all over the place. It looked as though he had regressed considerably. Lousy decisions, terrible timing, no ball security whatsoever. We're lucky there weren't more INTs as there were many near INTs.
