Pouha has been so valuable to this team, starting from last season.

    And a fumble
    Recovery

    Sucks we
Can't appreciate the defense because of the offensive ineptitude and the loss

he played great. him and devito had strong games imo.
they're filling in for jenx excellently on the run stoppage side of things. could use more push on the pass rush, but all in all he's exceeding expectations for me.

Agreed! Pouha has really manned up...the fact that the Jets were able to get to the Championship Game last year without Jenkins speaks volumes. And DeVito's another.

More of these type players please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Him and Devito are very underrated. We actually have a decent defensive line. Most people think that we have a below average D-Line, but we have a decent one. We have no depth, but we have good starters.

Guy has 10 tackles, a sack (on which he split a double team) and a fumble recovery and you want a better pass rush from him? You don't have any idea of what his reponsibiliites are. His job in a passing play is to stay in his lane assignment, make sure the QB can't step up and or even take off up the middle. If he can occuppy two blockers while doing so, even better. Pass pressure is supposed to come from the outside LB's, or Harris or Scott, and a safety if he's blitzing, it all depends on the defensive play call.

Let's not forget that Pouha gets pulled on passing downs. He isn't in the 3rd and long packages.

I remember how much Pouha got bashed, lynched on this message board. Maybe I should bump an old thread... might be fun.

Yep. I remember him getting killed cause he did the missionary thing before college and he will get killed again cause he's 30 or something. But he didn't play for 3 years when he was in Africa.

I just hope Ropati can recover and be a force next year.

I think the Jets lineman are the unsung heroes this year. Ellis, Pryce, Pouha, Devito.....

All are great players and filling Kris Jenkins shoes was not an easy job..

Yea they dont get much credit because they dont really fill up the stat sheet. They do their jobs well but sacks, int, fumbles, fumble rec and tackles dont come easy in their position.
