Just ran some scenarios on the playoff generator at yahoo, if we lose the next 2 and beat buffalo, and SD wins out(very likely) , we miss the playoffs...unbelievable
San Diego plays two away games, including one against the Broncos in the thin air at mile high stadium...I have a feeling they will lose one of those games.
The way I see it, division games are almost always a toss up, and they have a great home field advantage at mile high.. I could be wrong though
"Have you seen Denver play football bro?" -Jam. LOL Denver's loss to arizona this week was straight up as embarrasing as they get. To say that divisional games are always a tossup is wishful thinking. Teams like denver, carolina, buffalo don't have that kind of pride. They are godawful this year, and the whole interim coach thing didn't seem to give them the boost they wanted... but yeah, sure, any given sunday...
Yeah, I guess you guys are right. Perhaps it was just wishful thinking on my part, though the Chargers did lose to the 6-7 Raiders.. EDIT: Oh yeah Jonnyd said that, not me..
Yeah I think our best bet right now is to root against the Chiefs these next few weeks and hope Jags bury the Colts next week.
Based on how we are playing, the most logical question seems to be: can we literally back our way in while losing five straight to end the season? Thats the most likely scenario based recent past performances.
How about this? Beat Pittsburgh and Chicago or at least one. Not bank on making the playoffs with a win over Buffalo. If thats the case, the Jets will just fail in the playoffs anyway.
Yeah, let's rout against teams to make this team, a team that can't make a touchdown in 2 games, make the playoffs.
in order to guarantee a playoff spot they need to go 2-1..if they go 10-6 and tie with other teams they might be on the outside looking in. The Bolts finish 10-6 and so do the Jets the Jets will miss the playoffs.
It's amazing to think this is the same team many of us thought were going to the SB. At the very least, many of us thought this was the year we'd get over the divisional hump that is the Patriots. We went from 9-2 to scenarios where we just get into the playoffs. Ugh. I'm just bummed. Who knows, maybe we turn it around.
it depends... if SD wins out BUT KC loses a game we are in... there are so many variables out there... but the main thing to keep in mind is if we lose to the steelers and win vs the Bills we have a 8-4 div record which is pretty damn good.
I have a feeling that just like last year we get flexed into the final regular season game at home against the Bills and we win to get in the playoffs. The question is from there can we go to San Diego and win or go to Indianapolis or Jacksonville and win?
