Alright this is fucking annoying. I get it guys. Shotty sucks. I sat in the rain. I saw the horseshit performance today. The fucking team is 9-4. Barring catastrophic injury, no team is out of it at 9-4. That's the biggest loser mentality I've ever seen. You want off the bandwagon then get the fuck off. I believe we have no shot against the Steelers. I'm still going to plan my sunday as I usually would and root like a motherfucker. STOP BITCHING ABOUT THIS TEAM BEING OVERRATED. YOU ARE WHAT YOUR RECORD IS. WE ALL KNOW THE HISTORY, BECAUSE WE ALL (for the most part) SAW IT. And everybody here knows that if they somehow pull off the upset then all will be well in the world of the New York Jets once again and people will be double-fisting the kool-aid.
Of course you do. I do too man. You have no idea, the lengths I had to even go to the game today just to sit in the rain and watch the absolute shit-show that unfolded. And judging by what some others go through just in terms of driving a long distance, I know I'm not the only one that as they were leaving just asked themselves why the fuck they keep on keeping on with this team. I'm just not ready to declare the season over at 9-4 and I truthfully believe anyone that does is a PUSSY plain and simple. The season is over when you're 2-6 and turning to Brooks Bollinger. Then it's time to either not watch, or even bet against them. But at 9-4 to say the season is over and call yourself a Jets fan like I've seen some do is a fucking disgrace. For ANYONE to say a team's season is over at 9-4 is idiotic, but it's coming from inside the fan base! I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not.
You have a good point with Rex Ryan hyping up the biggest game of the year, but let's look at some things first. And i'm going to be as open-minded and i'm sorry if you don't like what I'm about to say but at least I don't lie to myself. Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez, second year head coach. and second year QB were way in over their heads. Ryan looked like he didn't know what to do, and Sanchez I'm pretty sure didn't even see any defensive backs. Bill Bellichick has 3 rings. He's been doing this for more than 20 years. And paired up with Tom Brady who's been doing this for over a decade, and looks like the NFL MVP right now. At New England. Chances of us winning were pretty slim to none, even if we put up a fight, which we didn't. The Miami game just proved that we were in a deep slump. But the bottom line is, we are a young team, overrated or not, that's going through adversity. This is the perfect scenario to gain expirience from, and learn from mistakes, fix your team(fancy for fire Brian Schottenheimer), and move on and try and play better. There is absolutely no reason at all to give up on this team now at 9-4. All of you who think drafting Mark Sanchez was dumb should STFU. He's a talented QB going through a mental lapse, and before that may I point out, had the most passing yardage in the NFL for November, and was extremely hot. This guy has a good future ahead of him. And Rex Ryan, while he does need to either pay more attention to the offense, or hire a better OC, is the perfect coach for this team, and will only continue to gain expirience by going through more games like these. All-in-all, and again, the bottom line is, don't give up on this team so quickly. We're riding a 2-game lose streak, that all young teams go through. Overrated or not, have faith, and don't jump on the same bandwagons that all fans go to when their team is struggling.
I dont think it is the fact that you have lost two in a row... it is the fact that there were 3 other games that EASILY could have been losses, and probably should have. You need to beat Steelers in Pitt to rectify the situation and return to SB favorites. If you lose next week, then your entire season will be on the line at Chicago, since the Chargers will own the tiebreaker against you and will win out. As a Bolt fan, our entire season was on the line today and basically has been for the past 5 games and will continue to be.
