What action do any of you think the Jets and/or NFL will or should take against him?

He probably should get fired, but probably will only get a fine since he's good at what he does.

I think firing him would be going overboard. I think they should suspend him for the remainder of the season though. One thing for sure, I doubt he'll ever do that again.

Some sort of suspension and/or fine. Anything more (firing) would be unnecessary and unprecedented. Then again, the 2010 NFL season has been all about appeasing the media (z0mg devastating hits) so if this blows up, who knows what will happen?

I have to hand it to you Jets fans. Most of you (by far) refuse to condone his action. Hats off to you. I know how much a lot of you hate the Phins. Still.....

A suspension is definitely in order, i cant believe anyone is actually trying to defend this. No coach/player should be doing something like this...

That said: Fuck that dolphag for being a moron running on the wrong side of the gigantic white line

I can't believe how many people commenting on YouTube are calling for him to be fired.

How big of a mistake it was for his career remains to be seen. I'm sure a lesson was learned here. I believe as classless and boneheaded as it was, he was just caught up in the moment of a great NFL rivalry.

YouTube comments are the greatest source of stupidity on the internet. Even intelligent comments are rendered stupid by the fact that the commenter is attempting to have a reasonable discussion in such a place.

He'll be suspended, his house will be egged, his wife violated and by next season it'll all be forgotten.

For honesty's sake, I'm expecting him to be punished, but I'm certainly not hoping for it.

I read the 1st 3 pages of the thread, so pardon me if I repeat anything. Obviously the guy has admitted fault at this point.

As to this white line argument: it's more like an invisible force field that goes straight up vertically from where the white (side)line touches the grass, and he shouldn't cross that plane. If his knee is okay merely because his body was behind the line, then that line of logic would him sticking his entire leg straight out.

That's not the appropriate standard. The appropriate standard was clearly broken. Part of his body was certainly over the white line, and that's what counts.

Nah, what really counts was that he had intentional contact with a player during the play. It was wrong.
