Flacco looks better but still makes big fuck ups, too. That floater on 4th down to end their game last week was baad. The big picture is: there's no doubt we've seen Sanchez progress from year 1 to 2. Next thing for him is to figure out how to take on bad weather games.
It really isn't Jake. I still think this kid is the real deal, and people need to take into account he's a second year QB that came out a year early. Last year was what should've been his senior season at USC. The big jumps come in years 3 and 4. But I like the way he's developing. That being said, at the end of the year Shotty needs to GTFO.
So you agree with me then.... it's too early to call him an uncapable QB like a bunch of whiners here are.
Fire Schotty now? No. Fire him after the season? I'm fine with that. Hopefully, he gets a job elsewhere.
The petition is retarded. But I do have to wonder about our offensive game planning because I'm a NOVICE at football. I mean, 99% of my football knowledge comes from playing Madden and watching it on t.v. Having said my knowledge sucks I can tell EXACTLY whether the Jets are going to run or pass about 90% of the time. I've watched games all season and when the play unfolds I can tell where it is going, they are doing the same thing over and over again with just a few trick plays sprinkled here and there. Our entire offensive game plan must change.
Why not fire him now? You think the offense would actually get any worse than it already is? Because this is one of the absolute worst offenses I have ever seen in my life.
it isn't unusual for coordinators to be fired well into a season, though I can't remember one being fired with only three games to go, but I would be all for it. this offense has struggled all season. either the players are the problem, or the coaching is the problem. I am going to say it is the latter. there is nothing to indicate that this offense can just turn it on and off consistently, so if he remains into the playoffs it will be a short-lived stint for the Jets. I wouldn't mind seeing him go and finding out if a different voice gets these guys going. for all the talk every week of "fixing it," the offense hasn't even been brought in for a tune-up; it is just sputtering along.
We have a young quarterback who is struggling, taking out the guy whose been his coach since he was drafted at this point of the season would be detrimental and unnecessary. At this point, you stick with them and hope they figure it out. Obviously, Schottenheimer must be impressive at something if other teams really were/are seriously considering him for coaching jobs. He's not an idiot. But he's still also not a good playcaller usually. If you want to change who calls the plays in the offense, I'm fine with that. I don't know who that guy would be, maybe Callahan, but firing a coach with three games left in the season is far too drastic for me.
I hate how quick our fan base turn on players. One week we are deeming him the Sanchise and how we have our quarter back problems solved. Then he has a few bad games and everyone wants him gone. Despite the fact that our offense is extremely predictable. Yeah he is also throwing bad passes, but I still think Mark is the real deal.
Worst thread ever? U think Woody would even blink before deleting that shitload? Im sure he has other measures to determine if Schotty needs to go or not. BTW, did u see all those drops and the terrible QB play? Yeah, fire Schotty. You are clueless.
A petition? Some fans are fucking pathetic. This isn't a fucking democracy. You're a fan, act like one and realize you have a very small voice in personnel decisions.
I am not as sure as you are. I see a lot of other QBs coming out and making a more solid impression on me than Sanchez and they are in 1st/2nd/3rd year, usually on poorer teams as well.
