1. Carolina Panthers (1-11), QB Andrew Luck, Stanford Luck has so much potential, it'd be stupid to pass on him, especially when Matt Moore is nothing more than a 2nd-3d stringer and Jimmy Clausen doesent look like he'll ever reach his potential in the NFL. 2. Detroit Lions (2-10), CB Patrick Peterson, LSU The Lions will have to improve on their dismal secondary, and Peterson is the best cornerback prosect in a long while. 3. Cincinnati Bengals (2-10), DE Da'Quan Bowers, Clemson Improving on their pass-rush has to be around the top 3 things on the long offseason list for the Bengals. They have the least sacks in the NFL with 11. 4. Buffalo Bills (2-10), DT/DE Nick Fairley, Auburn Kyle Williams has been basicly unstoppable for Buffalo, and I can't even imagine what it'll be like with both Fairley and him on the Bills D-Line. 5. Arizona Cardinals (3-9), QB Ryan Mallett, Arkansas After Kurt Warner retired, the Cardinals put in Matt Leinart as their franchise QB. This however didn't work out, and Arizona has had to use Derek Anderson and signed Max Hall, both injured and unfit for the job. Mallett is a very good QB with a very good arm and a high completion percentage. 6. Denver Broncos (3-9), CB Prince Amukamara, Nebraska Champ Bailey is a FA and definetly isn't coming back. Amukamara isn't that far behind Pat Peterson and would fill the void left by Bailey. 7. San Francisco 49ers (4-8), QB Cam Newton, Auburn I don't even know why I put this guy so high. But SF will definetly be swayed by his strong arm and speed. 8. Dallas Cowboys (4-8), DE/DT Marcell Dareus, Alabama Dallas has to bring in some new blood on that front 7 that had been so dismal the entire season. 9. Tennesse Titans (5-8), DE Robert Quinn, North Carolina I can see this as the second coming of Julius Peppers. He would be top 5, can't miss prospect if he hadn't been suspended for something dumb. 10. Washington Redskins (5-7), WR A.J. Green, Georgia Donovan McNabb needs someone to throw to, and Green is the best WR prospect since Randy Moss. 11. Houston Texans (5-7), DT Stephen Paea, Oregon State Houston needs a nose tackle, and Paea would bring some life into the terrible pass-rush and run defense Houston has. 12. Minnesota Vikings (5-7), QB Jake Locker, Washington Jake Locker has been absolutely terrible, but there is not other good QB available in the draft for the first round, Minny would be forced to take this pick. 13. Cleveland Browns (5-7), WR Julio Jones, Alabama The Browns had shown all the signs of a good developing team, but their receiving corps is mediocre at best. Julio Jones would give Colt McCoy someone to throw to. 14. San Diego Chargers (6-6), DE/OLB Ryan Kerrigan, Purdue 15. Oakland Raiders(Patriots), CB Brandon Harris, Miami Seems like a Bellicheck type pick, look for this pick to be trade though. 16. Seattle Seahawks (6-6), OT Derek Sherrod, Mississippi State Seahawks will have to wait another year for a QB, so they can just bolster their O-Line and make Sherrod their franchise LT after they picked Russell Okungn as their franchise RT. 17. Indiannapolis Colts (7-6), OT Anthony Castonzo, Boston College Colts need to protect Peyton Mannings blind side even though he doesent get sacked much. 18. Miami Dolphins (6-6), RB Mark Ingram, Alabama Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown are both aging and FA after the season and unlikely to come back, so Ingram would probably take the franchise RB spot for the Dolphin. 19. St. Louis Rams (6-6), WR Justin Blackmon, Oklahoma State Sam Bradford has been really good, without a recieving corpse or a try #1 WR. Mark Clayton was pretty good but got injured and would be better suited as a #2 or 3 anyway. Blackmon is the 3d best wideout in this draft. 20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-5), DE Adrian Claybourn, Iowa Claybourn is top ten talent, but there are character issues that will scare teams away, but Tampa needs to complement Gerald McCoy on that D-Line. 21. Jacksonville Jaguars (7-5), CB Janoris Jenkins, Florida Jags have surprised this season leading the AFC south but they terribly need a CB that can complement Rashaun Mathis, they've given up way to many yards to opposing WR. 22. New York Giants (8-4), OLB Travis Lewis, Oklahoma There are alot of questions about the Giants linebacking corpes riddled by injuries and age. Lewis would bring youth and pass-rush to the G-men. 23. Kansas City Chiefs (8-4), OLB/DE Akeem Ayers, UCLA Other than Tali Hall, Kansas City has no true pass rusher. Ayers has to work on his coverage skills and ability to get to the QB, but has a load of potential. 24. Philadelphia Eagles (8-4), G Mike Pouncey, Florida Michael Vick likes to spend alot of time in the pocket, and the Eagles don't have that type of offensive line that would allow him to do this. Pouncey would fit right in to Andy Reid's blocking scheme. 25. Baltimore Ravens (8-4), CB Aaron Williams, Texas None of the Baltimore cornerbacks are any good which is really holding back that defense. Don't know much about Williams but he'd probably kick one of Foxworth or Carr out of Baltimore. 26. Green Bay Packers (8-4), DE/OLB Von Miller, Texas A&M Green Bay should draft a CB since Charles Woodson is getting older and has seen decline in production. But I think they should draft an OLB to complement rising star Clay Matthews. 27. Chicago Bears (9-3), OT Gabe Carimi, Wisconsin Jay Cutler desperately needs protection, the Bears O-Line has allowed the most sacks in the NFL. 28. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3), DE/OLB Justin Houston, Georgia My thinking is LaMarr Woodley bolts and Pittsburgh drafts another pass-rushing linebacker. 29. New Orleans Saints (9-3), DE J.J. Watt, Wisconsin J.J. Watt has a load of potential, and New Orleans has had their eyes se on a pass-rusher for a while now. 30. New York Jets (9-3), DE/DT Cameron Jordan, California Jets terribly need new blood on that sorry Front 7 Shaun Elli isn't getting any younger, and Mike DeVito is good agains the run, bu better used as a situational guy. 31. Atlanta Falcons (10-2), WR Michael Floyd, Notre Dame Roddy White is an elite, Top 5 WR, but they need a #2 WR and Michael Jenkins is better suited as a #3. 32. New England Patriots (10-2), DE Allen Bailey, Miami Bellichek failed to adress the DE need last year, so he will have to do it here.
Explanations my friend, otherwise it's just words on a screen. And Pittsburgh doesn't need another OLB, they have Jason Worilds if Woodley bolts.
AJ Green is a top five pick...even if he doesn't run well. He's arguably the best prospect in the country. I have a feeling that Carolina will take Cam Newton over Andrew Luck - just a hunch. Jake Locker is most definitely not a top twelve player at the moment...not even a first rounder.
Carolina has Clausen and he really has had nothing put forth with him to make a team any good. I think people have to give the man some time to perform, he has had less than 10 starts I think this year. I know not alot of people like Clausen but I got to see a majority of his college starts and really think the world of him to be a pretty good QB. I understand new regime=new QB but it would be very foolish to not give Clausen some more time. Locker might slip in at the bottom of round 1...alot of hungry teams for QB. Not a shocker if he gets into that late round 1 spot, pending on combine/interviews.
I'm a huge fan of Jimmy Clausen, but I'm almost positive a new coaching staff will want "their" guy. It be stupid for that franchise to pass on Andrew Luck or Cam Newton. Clausen will probably get traded on draft day for a mid-to-late rounder and/or players. Jake Locker might slip to the bottom of the second round where he belongs. The guy's a developmental prospect that's been wildly inconsistent. By the way, the OP basically copied a mock off of WalterFootball...even the line about Newton. Maybe the guy that made the mock over at WF is his brother?
Don't the Cardinals already have Ryan Mallet and didn't he just go on a crazy tirade screaming about how the NFL isn't funny?
I take this shit serious! (*Arizona is starting rookie John Skelton at QB tomorrow. I think he's got the ability to be a very good player in this league. I definitely didn't expect him to start so soon - hopefully he performs because that team has suffered through some shitty QB play lately.)
I have no reason to see why the Bills would pass on AJ green for Nick Fairley, as good as Fairley is that team could use an upgrade at most positions and AJ green is just too good
isn't it time we start having the jets drafting in the early to mid 20s? its entirely possible that we won't be drafting 30 which is where i see us slated in almost every mock...
