Yup. And Rex stood on the podium and told everyone we should be the favorites. If a few things had gone our way in that AFCC game we could have been playing in the superbowl.

 

I do find it funny that in the last two years at this stage of the season things went totally unexpected. In 2008 everyone was talking playoffs and we collapsed. In 2009 Rex was eating snacks instead of planning for the playoffs. I would think these lessons would prove to the fans that until the Jets have that asterik denoting a playoff team next to their name in the standings that nothing is set in stone. Beat Miami, clinch the playoffs!

We're fans were allowed to talk playoffs. However I don't know how anyone can be a jet fan and be confident about a playoff berth before were actually penciled in is beyond me. I am cautiously optimistic at this point but scared to death of another collapse.

 

The Jets still have their bye week remaining too...they'll be fine. 12-4 or 11-5 and a 1st-round roadie to either KC, IND, or JAX.

 

bye week was week 7, after denver and before breen bay.

 

In case you forgot we were talking playoffs last year when we were out of it come December.

 

It's amazing how the atmosphere around here is almost exactly the same as it was after the Ravens game.
