Even if they do lose all their remaining games except buffalo they would probably make the playoffs. That's why we are talking about them. They are all but locked up as a wild card at this point.
I keep saying it's all about the Miami game and it really is. Beat Miami and they can breathe a sigh of relief. They will be all but assured of a WC berth. Lose to Miami and then you've got to go play 2 tough, tough road games in a row at Pittsburgh and Chicago. If you lose those then you've lost 4 straight games and have all the pressure in the world in front of your Home crowd against a team with nothing to lose. I agree completely. Nothing is a slam dunk at this point. The Dolphins are not as bad as some of you make them out to be.
along with what others have said, probably bc the league only gave permission to a few teams to begin printing playoff tickets. the jets were one of those teams. the league is even talking playoffs.
While I think they're a virtual lock to make the playoffs, why would they be printing tickets? That's a long shot at this point.
yeah i agree... but the league gave permission to the jets, the pats, the steelers and i think the falcons (looking for the link) permission.
Surely we'd only need to print tickets if we were to host a home game and as the likely #5 seed the only way that would happen is in the Championship Game against the #6 seed.
We're fans and we're allowed to talk about playoffs when the Jets are a team that has playoffs and the SB as their ultimate goal.
Lets see what teams can we beat in the playoffs with 0 pass rush,linebackers that cant cover for sh@t,safeties that are non existant,offensive playcalling so predicatable that my mother can tell what play we are gonna run and a quarterback that if he gets sacked on the first drive is shaken the whole game.Playoffs will be a breeze!

I too agree this team has not shown its best football, but there is still time for them to do so. They find ways to win, and in the NFL that's good enough. If they go one and done, especially against shitty AFC South and West teams, I'd be pretty shocked. Losing in the divisionals this year wouldn't be a shock to me. Getting buttraped in the divisionals would. But a 20-17 loss against the Pats or Steelers at their house wouldn't be the end of the world. Its an objective point of view. However my fandom says that Sanchez shows us more January production and if the defense stays strong this team has a serious chance.
I totally agree that this team definatley can a have a serious chance in the playoffs.The Talent is certainly there.Its a matter of IF and that is a big IF they can find a way in the next four weeks to seriously address and fix the glaring issues i mentioned.
People seem to forget how quickly this team turned it around at the end of last season and started playing it's best football in the playoffs ...
You are very rite.That is something we shouldnt forget but i am more worried bout the Defense now than anything else as crazy as that sounds.I think the loss of Leonard is going to be a factor more so than anyone thought.
We didn't even think we had a shot at the playoffs for a minute after our week 15 game last year ... We had a terrible week 13 game against a strong opponent on the road. Shit happens. It's time to right the ship, 1 win will probably get us in, 2 wins is pretty much a lock.

This pretty much what i've been telling myself this week. Hopefully Monday night was something we needed. although ,i think our defense was much better last year still.
2 wins isn't pretty much a lock, 2 wins is a lock. There's only 6 teams at the moment with fewer than 6 losses.
