Jason Taylor has the most sacks of any active player in the NFL. The Jets defense isn't what it was a year ago. Don't blame it on one player.
If he doenst sack Brady there and the Pats score a TD, they are one 3 and out away from getting the ball back and possibly tying the game. That sack fumble was huge.
There are alot of if's in there, it could have been huge- we don't know. What we do know is that we were up 14 pts late in that game.
a guy like taylor is signed to make a dozen or so plays a year and if u make the playoffs -then u may get another 3-4 which can be the difference between winning/losing. the bigger issue here is i hope the jets do not have to sign this type of player next year. they need to address the OLB in the draft and/or FA in a big way. jil
He's getting paid 1.8 million (a little over the vet minimum) not 5 million (which is pretty high salary) While ukk is being cranky about it, it is really easy to look up player salaries. http://www.nyjetscap.com/jasontaylor.html It matters because 1.8 million for a situational pass rusher is not all that expensive, and his 4 sacks is in line with his salary.
Not trying to be cranky about it. His salary was being mentioned as a reason why he has been disappointing this year. The point is made up and irrelevant to the discussion.
Taylor has had his moments and at other times disappeared. Bottom line is we need to get someone younger in here who can rush the passer and next season Taylor should not be on the team.
He showed off his car on hard knocks, can't remember what kind of car it was maybe a Mazerati. But your right, I haven't see him do anything this year.
I see what you did there. I'm just going to assume this thread, come Sunday, will be one of those reverse psychology ones.
